Introduction: My work stands out significantly from the competition. I follow a training program that really works, and is maintainable. It is easy to follow for the handler, easy to understand for the dog, and makes training both fun and useful. It is a careful balance of "have to" and "want to". What i like most about my job is being able to watch dogs and their handlers grow as a team. Seeing a slobbering launching Labrador progress into to a full service working dog... The transformations are amazing. It makes me feel like i am leaving my mark on this place, in a good way.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
The decision to become a dog trainer was very easy for me. I believe everyone is put here for a purpose... This is mine. Dog training is not a job for me... it is a lifestyle.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
May of 2016, 6 weeks after my son was born, my 4 year old German Shepherd Draco and I earned his second IPO3 title. Finishing with a national qualifying score of 277, High in Trial, High IPO3, High Tracking, obedience, and protection . With a brand new baby, I can honestly say we did not prepare as I would have liked, but my past training held solid. I worked 4 years with this dog, and I think the fact I could literally pull him.off the couch and qualify for nationals is a testimony to my training.
