First day for my 5 year old daughter was good. He explained what he would be doing and made recommendations. She felt comfortable and he incorporated some piano in her voice lessons.

I was a little nervous hiring a piano instructor online without having any past reviews, but it was the best thing I've done. I am 25 years old and have zero knowledge of a piano. All I knew was it had black and white keys and I wanted to learn how to play it. After the first lesson with C.J., I can look at a piano and identify every key and can show you all the different cords. That may not seem like a lot but for knowing nothing it was a huge step for me. Within the first lesson I was able to read sheet music, something Ive tried to learn before but could never quite grasp the concept of. C.J. was able to break it down in a way that turned on the 'light bulb' for me. By the end of my first lesson I was looking at sheet music and then playing the notes on the piano. It was awesome! Its one thing to learn how to play but C.J helped me understand music, which made it so much easier and more fun for me. Not only is C.J. a wizard of the piano, his stories of the people he has taught and played with is worth it in itself. I would highly recommend C.J. to anybody wanting to learn to play the piano. From someone like myself that knew literally nothing about a piano to someone whose been playing for years. This guy is just that good!!!

Our first lesson was great. Forget the old rigid piano teacher fear if you have one, CJ is easy going and teaches in a way that will keep your interest. Still have to practice but the lesson part is very enjoyable.

Mr. C.J. is an amazing piano teacher. He is wonderful with all three of my children. He works with them at their individual levels and is incredibly patient. My children look forward to their lessons every week!
