Charlie Kadado is one of the nation's youngest professional speakers. He has spoken for several high-profile organizations in the United States and in Toronto, Ontario. Charlie is the author of the award-winning novel, "Sacrifice: Reporting in Kabul," which is loosely based on the true life story of ABC Anchor Bob Woodruff. Charlie's children's book "Perry Finds His Talent" was released in February 2014. A former reporter for Scholastic News, Charlie covered dozens of national news stories, including an exclusive sit-down interview with world-renowned anthropologist Dr. Jane Goodall. The interview was featured on several nationally published magazines, including Scholastic News and Discovery Kids. He has made appearances on ABC News and CNN Newsroom. Charlie's articles and curriculum guides have been used in schools across the nation. Public schools in Salisbury, MD; Greenwich, CT; and Utica, MI; frequently use his articles in middle school curriculum. Most recently, Charlie has become a Detroit TV reporter for HMD Multimedia, a freelance TV affiliate in the Detroit market. He is also one of Michigan's youngest CEOs. He founded his own publishing house, Boundless Talents, LLC in 2014 after helping other authors publish their works. In his free time, Charlie volunteers for several Michigan organizations. Charlie has received the Presidential Call to Service Award from President Obama, the Prudential Spirit of Community Award, and a Special Tribute from the state of Michigan for his service work. "Sacrifice: Reporting in Kabul" has received the Bookfield Creative Minds 2012 Emerging Author Award.
