Mike and his staff have worked with the Ronald McDonald House Charities of SE Michigan RMHC (Detroit Chapter) for nearly ten years. Mike started at our charity by conducting yearly audits for our charity and because of the excellent service, the charity hired Mike and his team as the House accountants, providing excellent support with reporting and many other additional responsibilities related to specific RMHC projects. Our experience working with Mike Puckett has been excellent, He has done our personal income taxes for at least 10 years or more. I am Treasurer for a small corporation and he has done the taxes for the corporation and prepared all the financial statements for the shareholders. He has also been very helpful in answering any questions we had regarding our own finances. He is always pleasant , and willing to help in any way he can.

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    Services are typically billed at standard hourly rates, which currently range from $70 to $350 per hour.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    When we begin working with a new client, the first thing we do is review your most recent income tax returns and, if a business, your financial statements. This provides us with a quick snapshot of your most recent tax and financial situation and whether you have potential amendment opportunities or areas of income tax exposure that need to be brought to your attention. From there, we plot a course of action for the current tax year planning and filing and work proactively to monitor your tax situation going forward to make sure you stay in compliance. We firmly believe in proactive planning for our clients.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    CPA's are required to take 40 hours of continuing education annually. In addition, as a certified fraud examiner (CFE), I have to take an additional 20 hours of continuing education annually.
