I've hired Mark for 2 events now. Surprise Birthday Party and Engagement Photos. Mark was on time, prepared and professional. He's very versatile. There were shots that I preplanned as well as impromptu candid poses that he directed. I would recommend him for any event.

I recently had an in-studio head-shot session done by Distinctive Portraits. The location in Ferndale was easy to get to and the experience was great. I feel uneasy in front of a camera but Mark was very patient. He suggested poses and his professionalism made me feel comfortable. The results were Awesome! My pictures were great. I will be scheduling a family portrait session soon.

I contacted Mark the day of my son's birthday party and I am glad I did. Mark was extremely professional through the entire event! He was at the function on time and made sure every moment was captured! He is very knowledgeable about his profession and made sure I was happy. He even made sure that he uploaded all the pictures by the next day which I was expecting to preview them on Wednesday! I highly recommend him to anyone and my family and I will use him again! Our standard pricing for portrait service is at an competitive hourly rate at $225.00 per hour.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our process is simple when working with new clients, Have a conversation with them, discuss their vision and use for the portraits. Share with the prospect client what services and products we can provide, then determine if our rates fit the project budget.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My photography education started with a introductory course at WCCC titled "35mm Photography for Beginners". I went on to continue with the intermediate & advance courses there then attended GLIP (Great Lakes Institute of Photography) where I studied wedding & portrait photography. Following that was countless seminars on fine portraiture.
