What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I don't have a standard. I need to have an idea of what's involved in the project to determine a price.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I would find out as much as I could about their business and/or projecct, get to know them, do my research, and help them scope their project and create a timeline. I like to create clear expectations and deadlines so that the customer gets what they were expecting when they expected it.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a professional writer for most of my career. And I have been a media specialist. So, there is no part of the writer / audience relationship I haven't been involved in. And I have written everything from banking software documentation for a major bank to a feature in the New York Times. I am a journalist, a technical writer, an instructional writer and a communications expert. One of my specialities is web content. I have worked with large teams of developers on major projects. I have also edited fiction books, and I have extensive background in fantastic fiction in particular.
