FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I study an average of a 1/2 hour daily. Doesn't seem like much but let's call it 3 hours a week of research times 50 weeks a year. That's about 150 hours or more that 3 1/2 work weeks of pure study. Plus, I routinely go to seminars and trainings on the topics of marketing and sales.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started in engineering school and considering my grades... well I was the part of the class that made the upper half possible. Engineering was not by strength. After a stint in the U.S. Air Force I went to college on the GI Bill and discovered marketing. I've always been fascinated by advertising and communication. In college, I was older so didn't hang with the "party crowd." Instead, the professors were my buddies and those especially in marketing. After college I decided to test what I learned on myself as a musician. I have some talent there but I was never a virtuoso. However, my musician friends would always ask me, "How do you keep so busy?" The answer was always, "Effective marketing."
