This site charges us professionals upwards of $75 just to send you a quote. If you can think it, Chef Mike & his team will make it happen. I have had a very Privileged past. I've cooked for many Celebrities and even Royalty. We really enjoyed Chef! He prepared food for our wedding at our home and it was wonderful. We received rave reviews from all of our guests regarding how great the food/selection was. We served heavy appetizers as the wedding was more of a cocktail party. He is very talented and personable and a joy to work with. We will definitely choose him again

We are so pleased with the party chef and catering services provided for our Halloween Party. We gave him a budget and a couple of ideas, he created the whole menu; which the guests raved about! His staff was eager to help, responsive to requests, quick to help in any way. They provided bat service, food service and brought their kitchen on wheels to give us and our guests an amazing evening of food, drink and added niceties. Thank you for a great party evening! We look forward to working with you again!

We were absolutely delighted with the services that the Freelance Chef had offered and executed with excellence for my wife’s 50th birthday celebration on the 1st of April, 2016. At our request, he was very happy to expedite and prepare a number of her favorite dishes to help celebrate the occasion for an intimate dinner party of ten. He promptly arrived early enough on the evening to bake fresh bread, butcher ducks to make an outstanding Duck Confit served with a port wine reduction to compliment a rich and delicious porcini risotto on the side. He welcomed our guests with a warm introduction to his services and started the evening with a culinary tour that was outstanding and tantalizing. The evening started with a birthday toast of tequila oyster shooters to set the tone of party, followed by crab cakes on a toasted brioche bun and spicy Asian style scallops served in Chinese soup spoons to keep the event social and merry. His food and was a great talking point for all, especially, my wife who was an ex-restaurateur, and our guest loved. He was well prepared, and made the night a special one to remember with his delicious flavors and attention to detail. We would not hesitate to endorse or use the Chef’s services in the future. He made my wife extremely happy and even cleaned up his station with edible left overs. Thank you Chef ……. you met my expectations and beyond!!

We hired Mike to cater for our wedding reception on 4/21/17. We picked him mainly based on reviews here. We thought how can we do wrong with someone who has received so many excellent reviews....and we found out that we were absolutely right and that the reviews were very accurate. The planning and service provided was very professional and with an obvious personal touch that puts you at ease immediately. Mike will work with you based on your budget and give you suggestions on what to prioritize spending money on and where to skimp out and that nobody will notice or care.... He was absolutely right on his suggestions. He has immense experience that he can give you great suggestions and execute what you wanted out of the evening in a flawless professional manner... above and beyond your expectations. The food received great reviews from our guests. To be honest, for the money we spent you can't get such diverse fare he put together for us from anyone else here in Michigan....at least that is what we found out from the couple of months of shopping around we did.... His staff were excellent and managed the bar and the buffet extremely well. The chef himself will come out, serve and talk to your guests in his chef outfit and in general help liven up the buffet experience and the party in general. I highly recommend Mike and his team.

We ordered a simple lunch for our event--sandwiches, chips, and cookies, but the lunch definitely exceeded my expectations. sandwiches were served on fresh-baked bread, the cookies were baked, not yucky store-bought, the presentation of the food was appealing. We were really pleased and would definitely use the Freelance Chef again. Try them, you will not be disappointed!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I spent four years at College in London. I spent four years training at the same time and place as Gordon Ramsey. We both were put through our paces to see if we would hold up to the riggers of working in a five star Hotel, Restaurant, and extensive banqueting operation.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
First of all, Do not be scared to ask questions. A professional will take the time to better understand exactly what you are looking for. Ask if your chef will visit you to allow you and them feel at ease.
