Introduction: We use reward-based training to create a human-canine relationship. Our goal is to successfully live in a world with relaxed, confident, well-behaved, dogs able to successfully navigate our human world. Watching the weekly progress of my clients (the dogs) and their humans! Whether it's learning to be less fearful or figuring out that *not* charging the door when guests arrive gets you good things...it's all progress!

Although our dog did not suffer from any particularly severe behavior problems, as first time dog owners, we thought it was prudent to get some experience in dog training. We decided to take Hannah's "Urban Manners" class. The basic goal of the class is to be able to walk with your dog in a downtown-esque area with ease. The price was very reasonable and the information we gained from the class was INVALUABLE. Our dog learned a lot of new skills: how to automatically sit whenever we stop walking, how to walk calmly at our side, how to calmly observe scary situations and then "check-in" with us to make sure everything is okay. Us humans learned even more information. We learned positive reinforcement training. Most importantly, we learned how to read our dog's body language. I can now read even subtle nuances in our pup's behavior. For instance, my dog has several different "sits" depending on how nervous he is. We also followed up with a few private lessons to deal with some triggers that make our dog a little nervous, and Hannah was also wonderful then too. It's clear that Hannah knows what she is doing, and she is a bona fide expert in reading dog body language. We highly recommend Hannah and Longsnouts!
