Introduction: The trainer's at NickFit each have a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science. They have purposely experienced a variety of training methods so they feel comfortable teaching them. They work with TRX, resistance bands, agility ladders, dumbbells, kettle bells, bodyweight exercises, medicine balls and a variety of cardio options. They tailor a program to needs of their clients while still trying to include preferred types of training. A trainer at NickFit would never suggest an exercise they had not performed themselves. The best part about being a personal trainer is the relationship with clients. My clients have dropped into tears after seeing what their body is capable of. If there is one thing that I enjoy most in life it's seeing others happy. I do everything in my power to write and prescribe the most unique exercise programs so clients are able to achieve ANY goal they strive for.

Jake is encouraging, but never artificial. Instructive without coming across like a know-it-all. His energy level lifts you to a higher level of work before you realize it. I can't say enough about his depth of knowledge and thoughtful approach. You'll love working with him!

Jake is the best trainer I have worked with at our university. He is very respectful and professional. Anyone who can make us laugh while exercising at 6:30 a.m. - only Jake! I hope he develops online coaching...

Jake was an easy-going, yet tough and focused trainer at Winona State University during the spring semester of 2014 who knew exactly what he was doing and what I needed to be doing to attain health and fitness goals. He was patient yet persistent, and always walked right alongside me every step of the way. I learned fitness lifeskills that changed my perspective and access to bring healthy. I am very, very grateful for my time working with him.
