I had the trainer come to my home and do individual training with my puppy. She was outstanding with our pup, taught her a lot and taught me to understand how best to continue the training. Extremely knowledgeable about dog training and very calm. Outstanding!!
Darci came over to my home to do some training in my dog’s environment to address some specific things I wanted to work on. Not only was she wonderful with my dog, she explained things to me to ensure I could continue working on the training in the days to come. I would highly recommend Darci for any training needs - she is patient, knowledgeable and (most important to me) gentle with my pup! :-)
Rita was a huge help when I needed it most with training my new puppy. She is an excellent trainer and was very supportive as I was getting acclimated to the life change. She's patient and has a lot of advice to share. I would recommend Rita for puppy training and all her other services!
Lori Brown of Browns Dog Training, is a very unconventional trainer. Lori devotes her entire day and home to the animals she trains, boards, provides day care for and clearly is fulfilling her passion to animals. Our Hunter, loved staying with Lori for two weeks and was still happy to see us when we came to pick him up. Believe me, Lori is an excellent trainer and so passionate about her four legged family. I suggest you at least meet Lori. She is unconventional but fantastic with dogs. We will bring Hunter back just so he can see Lori again.
Mandy did an AMAZING job at assisting us with our border collie puppy. There were many things we had to learn about handling a border collie as well as what methods to use when things are not going in our favor. Mandy was very patient and understanding with us and did a fantastic job at getting our puppy to follow commands. We had so much to learn that she ended up staying at our house almost three hours to ensure we had things under control before she left. She had a variety of methods to use if we felt one way might not work for us (such as scaring our puppy into a better behavior versus hanging out around the kennel until our little one would calm down). You can tell she enjoys her job and is very knowledgeable. Honestly, I would recommend her to anyone with puppy training needs!
Justine trained a service dog for my husband who suffers from TBI and PTSD. She worked long and hard training the dog to ensure that his needs would be met. She spent 2 weeks one on one with Kyle and the dog to make sure that they were perfectly capable of transitioning into their new companionship smoothly. Justine exercised the upmost patience in working with Kyle, not taking lightly his past experiences that most overlook. Justine's motivation and compassion are inspirational. She goes above and beyond in everything she does. Her efforts were life changing. I would recommend her training services to anyone in need.
Our initial training session was awesome! Lynne has a very calming personality and clearly explained what she was doing and why. I am looking forward in continuing our training with Lynne and alone. I feel the husband and I will be very successful. Xena and Emma also say thank you for training our humans. We feel so much better having mom and dad in control. :-)
Sally was very nice to work with and my dog Lucy enjoyed working with her too. Lucy liked to jump up a lot and Sally taught us techniques that showed results right away. She had great tips and suggestions on how to care for her. We plan to hire Sally if Lucy ever needs care while we are out of town.
I hired Lindsay to work with my dog, Rocky, on basic obedience. He was very territorial of parts of the house and needed work with some basic commands. Lindsay showed me how to communicate better with Rocky. I now know what he needs from me in order to feel safe and this has had a huge impact on his behavior. Lindsay uses positive reinforcement and counter-conditioning. She keeps the dog feeling safe and positive, showing him what he should be doing instead of what he should not be doing. She uses treats to get her points across to the dog. She does not use bark or shock collars or anything that would make the dog feel uncomfortable. I am very happy with my experience so far, and will continue using Kinney K9 Academy.
Ashley is incredible at what she does! She has been such a huge help to me and my pups. She has shared so many resources and lots of valuable knowledge with me. I don't know where my dogs and I would be without her! If you need a truly skilled dog trainer, nobody does it better than Ashley!
I met Denise through my vet when looking for a puppy. The timing for a puppy was not in the cards at that time, however, we kept in touch. We are now training together with my first working line soon to be one year old female GSD. Denise has been a wealth of knowledge and is a wonderful trainer. Phone calls and/or messages of any kind are returned in a timely fashion and a professional manner. She is very patient and explains things well and I need this given this is my first go round at training. We had worked with another trainer for a short period of time and that wasn't working well for us. Am glad for that because it landed us at Denise's door. I would not hesitate recommending Denise for any breeding and/or training needs. We are beyond pleased with the services we are getting.
Love the dog training classes by Terrific Tails! Great location, instructor is very knowledgeable and classes are affordable. Thanks!
I am a certified dog trainer, and I use only positive training methods. The clicker/reward is a great fun way to work with a dog! Being a good leader versus using dominance or pack leader is more productive and teachable. I also have a dog rescue and work with problems that rescues sometimes bring with them. I am a support system during any training process.
I will help you train your pup or dog to be the best dog he/she can be! I will get to know your dog on a personal level and learn its twerks and kinks. Knowing the dog's personality is the first step I take before I begin his/her training. Every dog is different. Some may take longer than others to train. If you are not satisfied with my work then don't be afraid to let me know, and I'll give you your money back.
I have experience with all breeds but specialize in bully breeds. I have been training service dogs for the past 3 years with which all dogs have been very successful.
I am a Minneapolis/St. Paul based dog trainer. I am here to create positive changes in your dog and your home by using all positive training to train obedience and behavior problems. I teach the dogs what to do, rather than what not to do, and help you communicate better with your dog, and help your dog become your friend.
Every dog is treated like it is a member of my family.
We provide results! You will see improvement in the way your dog behaves after your first lesson. There are programs to fit your needs and certified trainers to coach you every step of the way, so stop waiting for your dog to 'grow out of it' and get training...get results.
I genuinely care about the human and dog bond. I want you to be the best pair you can be.
I offer in home dog obedience and behavior modification training for all breeds. I have independent certification from the council for professional dog trainers. I have been training for over five years, using positive, science-based techniques that get fast results. I am offering group training at the Animal Humane Society. Aggression and anxiety cases are most successful in the client's home or neighborhood. Clients love the work-at-your-own-pace program.
For my experience my fees are very fair. I do one on ones and teach classes.
