Needed new soffit board to replace rotting boards above bay window, that also contained a wasp nest or two. He also cleaned rain gutters. Things he did that were great: 1) showed up for initial meeting and to give estimate ON TIME! 2) performed beautiful work over bay window with new soffit boards complete with paint job; and removed wasps nest, 3) reasonably priced for this single-income household, 4) felt totally comfortable with him and appreciated his gracious attitude towards me as a female client. Was not condescending (which is my experience with a few contractors in the past). Will definitely ask him to return to help with more "fixer-upper" jobs as well as some more complex renovations.
He was responsive, available, polite, and willing to go get materials. He repaired my shed and got a great red paint color... I was tied up with other work at home and it was helpful that he could figure things out and make it all work.
I can't say enough good things about Don. It's really rare to find a craftsman these days that takes as much care and pride in his work. Besides coming in right on-budget and on-time, any obstacles encountered were met with a can and will-do attitude. He was completely upfront with his bid and explained in detail what we could expect from him before, during and after the job was complete. Don even taught us a few things. He called if he was running late and worked continuous days until the job was done, right throughout the weekend. He made multiple trips to pick up materials for us and worked really hard to minimize overhead and waste. He kept the work areas clean and when he was done, we couldn't even tell he was there. (Other than having a beautify transformed main floor!) Halfway through the job we were so impressed by Don that we already started referring him to friends and through social media. Some other contractors need to take notes. This is how you do it. This is how you satisfy a customer. Thanks Don! We have you on speed-dial.
I had my interior trim and doors installed and painted. I had started the process a couple years ago, but was having difficulty finishing the project with 3 young boys and all there activities. I hired Adventure 25 to come out and give a bid and they could start the project in about a week. The first part of the process was to finish the trim work and rip all the basement trim out and a couple of doors that had not been replaced yet. The trim work was done in a couple of days. The painting was delayed because of rainy weather. This is where the stress begins. The prep work that comes before painting can be a lot of work and time consuming. There was little to no prep of the trim. Lots of missed nail holes, lots of missed caulking and the stuff that was done was very poor. I was told that this is high quality paint and it will cover in one coat. I know better. It can take several coats to make the white trim look good. There was paint all over the wood floors, tile in kitchen, paint on the cabinets, paint on my trees outside, paint on the concrete driveway, paint on my fire pit. There seemed to be no care in the world. Jaimie kept telling me that we are not painters. I understand that but my 5 year could of done better. It was supposed to be rolled and instead there was pain brush marks all the trim. The one painter said he thought it would look cute to but swirls with his brush on the top of all the door trims. I met with Jaimie 4 different times to which he said how do I make this right? I would go through things with him and come home at the end of the day to find more of a mess and continued poor quality work. I have never seen anything like this. He would say it would be fixed but I don't think he would watch over his workers and forget to tell them things. I am stressed out beyond believe as my hope was to have this finished to spend more time with my kids. Instead I have to redo most of it. I had another contractor come out and told me it would be about 10 thousand to fix. He never had seen such poor quality work. I would not recommend him to my worst enemy. Very nice person but I think he was over his head and always in a rush, hence the poor quality work. Since I cant pay 10 thousand to someone to fix it, I am now looking at a year or so to fix my trim. Very frustrated and angry customer.
Northern Rx did an absolutely phenomenal job on our guest bathroom remodel. From the time they quoted the project to the finish of the project (which was only 1 week!) they were responsive, honest, and did amazing work. They were able to fit our 2 day project in between bigger projects and we are very thankful for their flexibility. The quality of the tiling work is fantastic and we plan on going with Northern Rx for future remodels. Also, their prices were very reasonable and affordable. We have worked with 5 other contractors this year already for different things around our house and Northern Rx was the best and easiest to work with. You won't regret hiring them.
Excellent service, exceeds expectations. I would recommend Jam Handyman services to anyone in need of home repair/ to -do-list .
To Whom It May Concern: I write this letter in regard to Above All Construction as a general contractor. I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Jaurez on the renovation of our kitchen 2013. I can recommend him highly and without reservation. Mr. Jaurez was directly available throughout the entire process. He handled all communication personally; this made the entire project progress smoothly. Throughout the course of the renovation, Mr. Jaurez was a consummate professional. He was accurate in his initial assessment of the scale and cost of our project. He was absolutely clear in his record keeping. He managed the sub-contractors well, checking completed work and immediately following up with any touch ups needed. Our job was done with care and precision in a timely manner. We are truly enjoying our new kitchen! Penny and Bill Mills
Julio was great to work with. I was in need of a subcontractor for a big drywall job and he was there to size up the job the next day and got it started immediately. The job was completed way before I thought it would be and the work quality was great. Very enjoyable guy to work with.
Nick and Top Notch Construction had the flexibility to tailor the roofing contract to the property owner's needs and requests. The work was performed in a timely manner. The estimate was very much within market reason, and his crews could communicate in English with other contractors on site and with the tenants of the property. There was not damage to flower gardens and other vegetation. Well done.
Great Sub-Contractor on my project. Looking forward to more projects in the future.
Kel did several projects around our home including electrical work, rehanging closet doors, and re-engineering a tricky down spout. Kel listened carefully to what we needed done and developed a work plan which he shared at the start of each project. We really appreciated Kel's careful attention to detail and thoughtful approach to the work. Kel was reliable and got all the work done quickly and with a minimum of disruption. We highly recommend Kel and Studio Rebus and will definitely call again as home needs arise.
Here's my overall experience with Kellington. 1. Chuck responded to my Thumbtack request within 15 minutes. 2. He was able to come over to visit my home for a free bid within two days. 3. He had the bid ready for me by the very next morning. 4. We scheduled it a couple of weeks out due to our availability 5. They said they will begin the work at 9am on a Monday 6. The day of work something came up and I coudn't stay home so I asked my in-laws if they could stay home for the contractors. 7. I was told that they showed up at 9am on the dot, said they could complete the work within 5-6 hours but actually finished everything including the cleanup in under 3.5 hrs and were gone by 12:30pm. 8. When I came home that evening, there was no way for me to know that someone was even there to do work except for the flawlessly repaired ceiling. Needless to say I am beyond impressed with their professionalism, honesty and punctuality and think that there is a small chance they just might be robots... LOL! Kidding aside, I wouldn't think twice before hiring them again and in fact, I have already asked Chuck if he could come by and give me a bid for another job.
He knew what he was doing and he gave us a high priority unlike some of the other contractors we looked into. He helped us a lot and was able to schedule us within a week! Definitely recommend.
I am extremely satisfied with this contractor. Ken, the owner, convinced me to give them a shot after I was discouraged speaking with other contractors. He and Chris were willing to provide me a quote for exactly what I wanted for fair price. Other contractors tried to sell me on products that were either not to my taste or seemed inferior in quality. Homestead let me choose exactly what I wanted. Will did a great job from beginning to end. He answered all my questions and kept me in the loop step-by-step. The tile work on the floor and tub surround looks like a work of art. I would recommend Homestead to anyone who knows what they want and wants it done professionally at a fair price.
Tim Kohner was great. He was hired to fix the mistakes caused by a subcontractor who said they were qualified to do trim work. Tim did an exceptional job and helped us stay on schedule with our remodeling project. We learned an expensive lesson on this job but now we know a qualified professional. Thanks Tim.
The project was a siding replacement for house and garage. Half of the house is two floors. In total there was about 2400 square feet of floor. We used heavy duty vinyl siding. There were a lot of lights, doors, windows, corners, etc to work around. The crew did excellent work meeting these challanges. Additionally, we went with full metal cladding for all window & door trim as well as fascia, and veranda support structure. The metal cladding was formed on site and perfectly fit everything it was applied to. The crew was here at 7:00 am ready to start and worked till after 6:30 pm. Mr. Lessard was here most of the time when he wasn't retrieving additional materials that were needed as the work progressed. The result was a project that went smoothly from start to finish. It is now a year later and there have been no problems due to winter weather or spring storms. We are totally happy with the results and have no regrets for choosing to go with Tier1 Restoration.
Ryan is one of the exceptional contractors that is proactive and keeps to his schedule and definitely communicates to keep the customer in the loop
Nick and Merl Jensen have many years of experience with home construction. They did a great job putting up a wood ceiling in on of my bedrooms.
Extremely happy with our choice to hire this company. Gordy was great to work with professional and friendly! The quality of the work was great and completed in the time frame needed. We were adding a wall to split a bedroom, Gordy had great suggestions and was really helpful. We would 100% hire them again for future work. Home repair and remodeling can be stressful have a company you trust really helps!
We hired SBH for a roofing job on a 100+ year old home. Field contractor Ryan was communicative and thorough with all the steps needed. Work was done on schedule with a great crew. Looking forward to our next project with Ryan, Mike, and their crew -- next up is windows!
Allan was prompt and very professional. He took the time to look beyond my specific deck repair need and enhance the project with additional items all at a price equal to other spec-only quotes. I highly recommend Allan for any home remodel or repair project.
