We contacted Four Winds Dog Training because wed had trouble with our female Klein Poodle who spent her first 5 1/2 years as a breeder dog. Although she was not physically abused, Marlo clearly had unpleasant experiences, particularly with men, leaving emotional scars and causing unpredictable behaviors. The worst has been aggressiveness towards men in certain situations - including one biting incident. Shahar of Four Winds has worked methodically with us and Marlo in our home, teaching us to use clicker training and positive reinforcements. Shahar is firm in her guidance but yet sensitive and flexible as appropriate. She listens to owners (and Marlo!) and works to find the best outcomes for a situation while staying true to her own experience and training. We are currently attending her 6-session group class to hone our clicker training skills. Marlo responds positively to the clicking sound which often brings a treat, after she successfully follows a command. Shahar also encourages intermittent rest and play periods so as not to tire the dogs. Marlo clearly enjoys this kind of training. Before Shahars training began, Marlo was steadily getting worse. Although Marlos behaviors tend not to change quickly (in spite of her high intelligence), we have seen steady improvement. We are very happy with the results.
Ryan was excellent in helping me train our dog Archie! He corrected me on my training and helped us with training aspects we could work on at home! Definitely recommend any with a bigger dog to go with K9SF for their training. Ryan is very knowledgeable and great with the dogs!!
Rita was a perfect fit for us in her approach to training our puppy, George. She has given us so much valuable advice. We will continue to tap into her expertise even after our sessions are completed.
I am a responsible dog owner that is concerned where my dog goes for training and I am glad I chose this business. After I talked with the owner, saw the place, I was convinced this was the right place for Bailey, and I am glad I chose it. They were very good with Bailey right from the beginning, knowing what to do, gave him plenty of love, kept him safe and well fed. He made doggy friends and played well with other dogs. Since Bailey's issues started at home, that's where they need to be taught, in a home environment and I was pleased with the outcome. I have now signed him up for Doggy Day Care. Now that he is a better behaved dog, thanks to Brown's Dog Training. Lodging and more, I give this business a 5-star rating in my eyes.
I spent a lot of time researching various options for my corgi puppy when I found out I was going to be in Europe for 4 weeks. I looked into various boot camps, board and train facilities, as well as asking relatives to look after my Kirby. When I came across Crystal's website, I immediately contacted her and arranged a meeting. Right off the bat she was extremely responsive, kind, professional, and demonstrated a wealth of knowledge about dogs and canine psychology. I could also tell that she and her husband really cared and loved all of the dogs that stayed with them and I knew in my gut that I could trust them. My instincts proved right when Crystal brought back an unbelievably well-trained Kirby at the conclusion of camp. What was once a nippy, sassy pup who was impossible to walk, became a well-behaved puppy who will not even graze her teeth on my skin and walks RIGHT next to me whenever she is on a leash. Kirby also learned how to do "place," an extremely useful command where she stays in one place until I let her free, along with other basic commands like "sit" and "down." One thing that really distinguishes Crystal's program from others is the fact that Crystal and another trainer Katie personally came to my house to drop off Kirby at the end of camp and went through a detailed "go home session" showing me everything they taught Kirby, their training methods, and how to best follow up to ensure that her training continues beyond camp. I was really impressed with everything they showed me, and the follow up techniques have been working well. Overall I would rate Crystal's training program a 10/10. I am grateful for how much progress Kirby made and how flexible Crystal was with me when I had to keep changing the dates that Kirby was to be at camp. Thank you Crystal, Riley, and Katie for everything you did for Kirby!
Jodee at PawZup was amazing from the minute she walked in the door and met our three pups until the minute she left. Very knowledgeable, patient, and kind. She clearly loves what she does! Our dogs, ages 1 to 14 took an immediate liking, better yet loving, to her. I would highly recommend!!
Ashley is amazing. She has worked with my youngest with disc training and I am excited to continue once winter is over.
Roxanne is amazing! She has worked so diligently with our family and our puppy's needs. Any problem we were having, she had a way to address it. The best part is, it works!! She has a miracle solution for every instance. Roxanne is always willing to listen and do what is best for the family and the dog. Her techniques are easy to follow and always positive! She has reassured our family that we are making progress and are doing what is best for our puppy. We have seen wonderful changes in our puppy and are excited to continue to work with Roxanne. :)
My personal experience with Windwalker is 1st rate. His kennel is clean and modern and I never worry when my dogs are in John's care. John did a great job with the training of my dog and has helped me become a better handler as well. His ability to read dogs and individualize their training to their ability is outstanding.
I met Denise through my vet when looking for a puppy. The timing for a puppy was not in the cards at that time, however, we kept in touch. We are now training together with my first working line soon to be one year old female GSD. Denise has been a wealth of knowledge and is a wonderful trainer. Phone calls and/or messages of any kind are returned in a timely fashion and a professional manner. She is very patient and explains things well and I need this given this is my first go round at training. We had worked with another trainer for a short period of time and that wasn't working well for us. Am glad for that because it landed us at Denise's door. I would not hesitate recommending Denise for any breeding and/or training needs. We are beyond pleased with the services we are getting.
Love the dog training classes by Terrific Tails! Great location, instructor is very knowledgeable and classes are affordable. Thanks!
Sammi always does a great job taking care of the huge menagerie that we have. She's flexible and is easy to work with (and puts up with all the changing and long-winded instructions I leave). The animals all love her. She leaves great notes about how things went while we were gone. We've been using her for years and love her.
Your pet is in good hands, i have experience with small to large breeds. I have encountered all levels of attitude and know how to deal with dogs of any type.
I am a certified dog trainer, and I use only positive training methods. The clicker/reward is a great fun way to work with a dog! Being a good leader versus using dominance or pack leader is more productive and teachable. I also have a dog rescue and work with problems that rescues sometimes bring with them. I am a support system during any training process.
I am a Minneapolis/St. Paul based dog trainer. I am here to create positive changes in your dog and your home by using all positive training to train obedience and behavior problems. I teach the dogs what to do, rather than what not to do, and help you communicate better with your dog, and help your dog become your friend.
We provide results! You will see improvement in the way your dog behaves after your first lesson. There are programs to fit your needs and certified trainers to coach you every step of the way, so stop waiting for your dog to 'grow out of it' and get training...get results.

For my experience my fees are very fair. I do one on ones and teach classes.
