Hired Mark with Wittmeier Construction for basement framing project. Excellent quality work, friendly prompt service. Mark did a great job with our project and I would recommend him to family and friends. He is also very trust worthy and we did not have a problem with leaving our home unattended while he completed his work. We recommend Wittmeier Construction!!
Dan installed a new ceiling in our basement. He was punctual, professional and did a terrific job.
I had my interior trim and doors installed and painted. I had started the process a couple years ago, but was having difficulty finishing the project with 3 young boys and all there activities. I hired Adventure 25 to come out and give a bid and they could start the project in about a week. The first part of the process was to finish the trim work and rip all the basement trim out and a couple of doors that had not been replaced yet. The trim work was done in a couple of days. The painting was delayed because of rainy weather. This is where the stress begins. The prep work that comes before painting can be a lot of work and time consuming. There was little to no prep of the trim. Lots of missed nail holes, lots of missed caulking and the stuff that was done was very poor. I was told that this is high quality paint and it will cover in one coat. I know better. It can take several coats to make the white trim look good. There was paint all over the wood floors, tile in kitchen, paint on the cabinets, paint on my trees outside, paint on the concrete driveway, paint on my fire pit. There seemed to be no care in the world. Jaimie kept telling me that we are not painters. I understand that but my 5 year could of done better. It was supposed to be rolled and instead there was pain brush marks all the trim. The one painter said he thought it would look cute to but swirls with his brush on the top of all the door trims. I met with Jaimie 4 different times to which he said how do I make this right? I would go through things with him and come home at the end of the day to find more of a mess and continued poor quality work. I have never seen anything like this. He would say it would be fixed but I don't think he would watch over his workers and forget to tell them things. I am stressed out beyond believe as my hope was to have this finished to spend more time with my kids. Instead I have to redo most of it. I had another contractor come out and told me it would be about 10 thousand to fix. He never had seen such poor quality work. I would not recommend him to my worst enemy. Very nice person but I think he was over his head and always in a rush, hence the poor quality work. Since I cant pay 10 thousand to someone to fix it, I am now looking at a year or so to fix my trim. Very frustrated and angry customer.
Picture this. ...a flooded house, with endless tussle with the insurance company and a gloomy moldy smell , until I met Julio. From hard wood floor installation, plumbing in the bathroom, installing a storm door, refinishing partial basement from water damage to helping with other handy jobs that were not even part of the agreement, because he is s perfectionist. The best part of it all was his professionalism. He treated my home with respect and I am happy to come home again.
We had Apex evaluate some water damage at our business. They proposed a couple of different solutions before beginning the job, depending upon whether there was more/less damage than they expected to find. Once the plan was in determined, they executed the job quickly. They repaired some damage wood framing and then bricked up a former window that had not been sealed properly in the past. The work looks good (hidden exterior on commercial building, so beauty and detail weren't necessary) and was fairly priced. Communication was pretty good, but there were a few times where I had to reach out leading up to starting the project, to get details about where in the process we were. Overall, I am satisfied with the work and would use Apex again.
Hired Bill for a demolition project which was completed just as promised. While on the job it became apparent he had the expertise for further projects. Notable and appreciated: In building and framing a new wall he discovered the previous homeowner/DIYer skipped an important structural step. He took extra time to rent a piece of equipment and make it right. Good eye, good skills, tells it like it is, on time, follows thru, stays in communication, and leaves the site clean when the work is done.
Kel helped us fix up our newly purchased house. He tackled numerous jobs (windows, drywall, built a art of stairs) and did so with professionalism and skill. We appreciated his honesty, friendliness and advice on how to proceed. We have already recommended him to several friends.
Rob went above and beyond any expectation I had for my door installation and deck building. The final product is outstanding and I couldn't be happier. Do yourself a favor when you need your next project done and recruit Rob. You will not be disappointed!
Dan did a trim finishing job in our basement, and finished the installation in a day. Dan was very responsive and paid attention to the details. He got the job done on time and for the agreed upon price. I would recommend Dan to others and I will use him in the future.
We hired Paul to finish our basement. Everything from framing, Sheetrock and tile work in the bathroom. He was accommodating to our budget restraints and went above and beyond, doing some value added work at no charge. We would definitely use him again if needed in the future and will recommend him to people we know.
R S was everything I was looking for in my job, and will likely work with in the future. Work: Demo-ed concrete in the basement
Benny did an incredible job driving our basement remodel to completion after our first contractor couldn't complete the job. He is responsive, energetic and competent. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
I bought a home in 2010 and have been wanting to have a few things done, and I called around and got some quotes on having a deck built and new tile kitchen floor and rearrange cabinets. I hired a contractor and payed him $500 down and he showed up one time and never seen him again. So I was very nervous hiring again, But I needed the work done. I called Jordan at Top Notch and he was very relaxing and affordable. I was still nervous about something going wrong but after I seen his quality of work I knew I found someone I could call back on other jobs i need done. All in all Jordan and his crew deserve A top spot on anyone's list of contractors. I was hesitant writing this review so as to not make him to busy to take on the projects I need done but after the amazing job he did for me I felt it is only right to spread the word!!
Jacob did a fantastic job on framing out our basement. He said what he was going to do and then did it. He was extremely responsive, professional and very focused on delivering a quality product. When you add in the competitive pricing its hard to go wrong. I will have Jacob back again, no question.
I hired Jeff to complete a bathroom remodel that I had started and didnt have time to finish. I did not know jeff prior to this and was given his name as a referral from a realtor I know. The project included electrical, plumbing, carpentry, tile and finish work. The bathroom is large, about 20 feet x 7 feet and includes a custome open shower that is 7 x 5 feet. Jeff quickly assessed the work and the subcontractors he would use to bid the job with him and provided a bid back to me within two weeks. Jeff also estimated the time it would take to complete the project and included it in the bid. The project went pretty much exactly to schedule, with Jeff and each of the subs completing the work when they needed in order for the next steps to start. Jeff was very responsive to email, text and phone calls all through out the project and proactive in contacting me as needed to maintain this schedule. In the end the quality of work provided was excellent on all accounts. Each sub and Jeff took pride in their work and it showed as the pieces were completed. Even though the electrical, plumbing and framing is all covered in the end they took the time to make it look great had it been left exposed. The project completed on time and on budget and I couldnt have been more pleased with the result. Thanks Jeff!
Brad did a great job installing finishing trim throughout my basement and bathroom. He was prompt, worked quickly and was reasonably priced.
Sergio replaced my front entry door, back door, and back storm door. He was professional and did a great job. After taking out our old front door and removing a piece of paneling, he discovered that there was a 2 foot gap above the door framing that had never been insulated. Also, the threshold was rotten underneath the framing because the proper materials had not been used. These were mistakes from the previous contractor. Sergio pointed them out, gave us some options, and then made the repairs. Now our door is weather-tight. I will call him again for our next repair. He has a good work ethic. I will call him again for our next home repair.
Wagner construction remodeled our kitchen/ and framed up some rooms in my basement. They started on the kitchen on a Tuesday and were done and had kitchen back for the weekend. Started back on Monday and had the 2 rooms framed and completed by the next weekend. Was really impressed with how clean everything was at the end of everyday, and how professional Wagner construction was from day one tell the end. I am planning on having other work done and I will defiantly be calling them back!
This spring we had a pipe burst in our basement. The damage to the wall, ceiling and floor was extensive. We called a number of contractors in our area. Many were busy, some never returned our call but Lester was highly recommended by a family member and the quality of his work spoke for itself. Lester responded to us quickly and helped us walk through the process. He really listened to us and made recommendations based on what was needed and what was important to us. We were concerned about our re-purposed barn wood wanes coating because it would be virtually impossible to fix without redoing the entire basement. When the job was complete we were astonished with the quality of work and detail. It feels like a new basement. Thank you Lester!
