Kitchen Remodel

  • Serves Elk River, MN
Adam Walsh says, "I had large window at the front of my house (as old as my house) and a patio door that were both in pretty rough shape. They both let in a lot of cold during the winter so I decided to get them replaced.I decided to go with The Window Store for the update since they have a good reputation online and their windows are manufactured in Minnesota. The guy that installed it was very friendly and did a great job, especially with the finishing work. The new window and door look great and the project was cleaned up nicely afterward.I would highly recommend The Window Store to anyone that is looking to update old windows/patio doors in their house, especially in Minnesota where the winters get so cold."See more

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

Do I need a contractor for a kitchen remodel?

A kitchen remodel is one of the most important investments you can make in your home, and it’s critical to get the details right; that’s where a home renovation contractor comes in. A minor remodel usually includes new cabinet faces and hardware, replacement appliances, and paint, while an extensive job may enlarge the kitchen’s square footage, install new cabinets or an island, change the layout, and lay new tile or hardwood floors. Any renovation that includes filing permits, construction, or electrical or plumbing work is best completed by an experienced contractor who knows local codes.
