Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: My attention to customer service is second to none. I went to school for Architectural Design and worked as an Architectural Drafter/Designer for 3 years early on in my professional career. I have been maintaining residential & commercial properties for over 20 years and there is nothing else I'd rather be doing. Considering my vast experience in the building trades; there are not many maintenance issues or renovation projects that I have not encountered. You can rest assure that I will leave your house or business as clean or cleaner then when I arrived. I take pride in my attention to detail and a high quality finished product. I specifically only work within a 10 mile radius of Downtown Minneapolis. This among other things helps keep my overhead cost to a minimum, passing on the savings to my clients. I make myself available for projects 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This helps accommodate business owners who prefer to have work done before or after business hours as well as homeowners who prefer not to take time off of work. Helping others! I'm often called on to repair a problem or take on a renovation project. Sometimes my clients are stressed and in a bind, and I get to provide a solution to their problem. Let me deal with your maintenance issues or renovation projects. It's what I do, I do it well, and I have been doing it for a long time.

He showed up late. Complained about how he really did not want to do the dishwasher install. Wanted to send my husband to the store for supplies to complete the job. (We had everything needed before he arrived). It is my opinion he had no clue how to remove the old dishwasher and install a new one. We invited him to leave our home and hires someone else.
Gekko Property Maintenance's reply
In response to Marilyn's offsite review: I arrived an hour later than the scheduled time we agreed upon however I notified Marilyn that my current job was running behind and she was fine with that. I arrived at Marilyn's house to install a dishwasher and I quoted her $135 prior to arriving to do the job. Marilyn and I spoke on the phone 2 days prior to me arriving on October 30th and I stated that my charge to install a new dishwasher would be $175 and that cost included all necessary fittings and connections that I would need to provide to complete the job. Marilyn stated that $175 was too expensive and she was having a financial crisis due to an unrelated matter. I agreed over the phone to install her dishwasher for $135 under the following conditions: 1) No electrical work would be included except the actual wiring hook-up. 2) No water supply fittings or other materials would be included in the $135 cost and those items would cost additional. 3) Marilyn would assist by going to the hardware store if additional parts were needed, which they were in fact needed. (Marilyn stated in her review "we had everything needed before he arrived"). This was an agreement we made in order to keep cost down. Marilyn was distraught and agitated right off the bat upon my arrival. I explained to Marilyn that her dishwasher hook-up would be much more involved than she led me to believe during our phone call. She stated everything was there and ready to install and that I only needed to perform the installation when in fact the water supply line from the existing dishwasher would need to be retrofitted with the proper brass fitting to accommodate the new dishwasher supply line hook-up. This would involve me cutting out existing copper tubing from the basement and soldering a new length of copper tube with the proper brass fitting. I explained to Marilyn everything that needed to be done and that the cost would be more than $135 due to the fact that additional plumbing work would have to take place. Her husband was there and in order to keep cost down I offered them the option to go to the hardware store to purchase the necessary brass fitting. I wrote down exactly what they needed to purchase and explained in detail how I was going to make the water supply connection using the new brass fitting and soldering in a new small length of copper tubing. They told me that they were going to take care of the installation on their own and they would not need my services. This was after I explained in detail how the hook-up should be done and after I indicated exactly what parts were needed. I copied and pasted the string of messages leading up to my arrival to install the dishwasher. Thumbtack Professionals beware of this homeowner!! That cost covers labor, tools/equipment, travel time and fuel cost. If the wiring needs to be hardwired into a junction box or outlet box or if new water supply lines are needed there may be an additional charge for that of up to $35. If the project takes less than 2 hours I will only charge $135. My work is guaranteed and I have availability Sunday mid morning or Monday at 4PM. Feel free to call and discuss the project. I look forward to getting your new dishwasher installed and earning your business. Kind Regards, Vincent Tannehill Gekko Property Maintenance 612-701-8049
