Mike O'Malley Guitar Lessons
About this pro
I took lessons for about a year and only stopped because I had to leave Minnesota. I went once a week for a 45min class. Mike has been nothing but amazing. Not only is he very knowledgeable about music, he’s truly an amazing guitarist. He’s also very personable and so is his cat, Nugget! I went from not knowing a thing about the Blues to absolutely loving it. Mike is a very patient guy and really works with his students so that they get the most out of lessons. He listens to what you want to learn and keeps your lessons interesting. He was also very accommodating with my unpredictable work hours. I can confidently say that if you’re serious about learning to play or improving your technique or learning some music history, Mike is your man! He’s the best thing that happened to me in Minneapolis and if I’m ever back I would take lessons from Mike in a heartbeat. Also, check out his band, Crooked Dice, I assure you, they will NOT disappoint 👌👌👌👌Jul 2, 2018

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? For guitar lessons I charge $50 per hour, $38 for 45 minutes & $25 per half hour. I also have a recording studio & record bands & solo artists those prices will vary depending on the project. I can help with production or perform on parts I also know some drummers that are for hire.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Being a working musician I am always learning new things and figuring out ways to teach it to students. I learn around 300 songs a year that I teach to students and I am constantly expanding my skills and technique on the instrument as well as keeping up with recording and live technology.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I'm a musician and I also have a background in sales training, putting the two together is easy and very rewarding. I've always wanted to be my own boss.
