FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing system is not necessarily complicated, it is just difficult to determine the hours needed to clean a house. It depends on the size of the house, square footage is always nice to know, it also depends on the amount of cleaning needed and where cleaning is needed, for example; high ceilings, will I need a ladder to reach chandelier, is there more cleaning needed in an area due to soap build up, or pets, or is a room that needs preparation for guests, things like that. Another way for me to give a more accurate quote for cleaning is to see first hand what exactly I am dealing with, what the expectations are of the client and to discuss any other work that needs done, or what client doesn't want done. When I clean, I do a detailed job, I work hard and it helps to know beforehand what needs to be done, that way I can prepare any materials or supplies, the price for the job has been determined and agreed upon whether it be for so many hours, or a fixed price. It is not that complicated unless I have to guess and short change myself by under bidding.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always like to meet any new customer in person at the home, perform a walk through of the house with the customer, determine what is expected, clarify what will be done, talk with customer to go over any concerns or questions, and to get to know the family, any pets they may have.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have trained with Matt Paxton, the host on the HBO series "Hoarders", he held a seminar to train insurance adjusters how to interact with people who hoard. I research cleaning techniques and seek out those natural concoctions that do the job right.
