Introduction: I am trustworthy, reliable, flexible, and love spoiling yours pets! I pay very close attention for signs of illnesses and their habits. I send photos and texts daily if required by the customer. I am available on SHORT NOTICES and as a BACKUP in case other sitter doesn't work out or is unavailable. I am reasonably priced. I have GREAT customers who like the work I do for them, please read my reviews. Plus, I am personable with the customers and their animals. Other pet sitters are to professional, me I give them the attention they need and spend more time than others do. Strict hrs. for other pet sitters are 9-5, me 7-11pm. I take pride in the work I do! They say. "if mama's not happy nobody's happy!" I go above and beyond what most pet sitters don't do. What can I say! I love animals!!! I get to see other animals besides my own and they can rest assure they are safe with me and can rely on me. Also, SNOWBIRDS out there I would be willing to drive your car and pet to the warm states so they can be with you, however I will need a flight back home. References upon request!

Jerri checked on our house, collected our mail and took care of our birds and squirrels while we were away. She went above and beyond, sending us pictures, comments and suggestions for caring for wildlife while we were away. I recommend her highly.

We hired Jerrie to care for our 2 cats while we were away for Christmas. She came to meet us and our pets prior to us hiring her and our cats were drawn to her immediately. She also came just prior to our trip to finalize details. She provided a file folder of information for us and got more from us. She also worked with my sister-in-law who was at our home some of the nights we were away. Our cats were relaxed and happy when we got home, with new toys from Jerrie all about. They’re still playing with them. This was our first sitting job from Jerrie and we are very happy with how it went. We will definitely hire her when we need a sitter again. Thanks, Jerrie!!

Jerrie is a great cat sitter. We highly recommend her to anyone. She looked after our two cats for over nine days during the holidays. We don't need a cat sitter on a regular basis. We live in a building with lots of cats and we tend to share cat sitting duties with our neighbors. However, this time around everyone was traveling over the holidays. We went to Thumbtack, a pet sitting app, to search for people who could look after our cats for nine days. We chose Jerrie based on her reviews and we are very glad we did so. She came to meet our cats beforehand. She brought with her a folder with our cats' names and a cover sheet explaining the types of services she offers. Our cats took immediately to her; something that does not usually happen on a first meeting. Jerrie not only looked after our cats, and the neighbors' cats, but she also replenished the window bird feeder, and fed a small outdoor feral cat that we feed on a regular basis. She is the best cat sitter and we'd really recommend her to anyone.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am reasonable, punctual and go above and beyond my time. I do not charge a fee for the first initial visit. It is up to clients if they want to reimburse me for coming out the distance. I offer discounts to seniors and those who live close within a 2 mile radius from where I live. There are times I work with the client on cost. I also, offer a free day during the week for those who live within the 2 mile radius. I too have created gift certificates for pet sitting for those who wish to give as a gift for Christmas, birthdays and weddings for vacation planning. Most clients charge extra for Holidays, I charge the same rate of pay per visit, most of the time the client will leave a tip during Christmas which is greatly appreciated.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First I get the quote-talk with them by phone, personal email or sometimes thru Thumbtack. Then we schedule a meet and greet at the clients, on the first visit and get to meet with their fur babies to see if we are a match. I pretty much watch their temperament. Then I introduce myself and show the client documents I have created for Pet Sitting Requirements and a profile of me with my gigs and references. I explain my services. Sometimes it doesn't always work that way because they talk first. But I am personable with them and start talking about the last gig I did.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I want to take classes in EMT and Animal Communication. I have a way with animals, talk to them and they listen. However for the EMT classes, they only offer them for Firefighters, EMT staff because there are animals in need when there are fires or animals who are stuck in objects. I do administer meds (pill, liquid and needles). I also supply decals for the clients windows for the firefighters to help save the number of pets inside in case there is a fire. Also, volunteer for Can-Do-Canines which is a dog group for people with special needs. Not to mention various rescue groups as a volunteer and helping with benefits to help raise money for the rescue groups to house unwanted animals. I too have fostered and boarded my clients pets when in need and found homes in extreme crisis.
