Bryan did an exceptional job selling our house for us. He researched the marketplace, knew which houses were comparable to ours, and helped suggest the correct price point for our house. His ideas on how to stage and market our house were modern and clean. The great thing about Bryan is he is full-service, from taking excellent pictures, marketing our house, and being full of great advice. I was especially impressed when he was taking pictures of our house and he paid attention to the cloud cover to help our house look its best. His ideas for marketing the house, not only through normal realty websites, but also through ads on Facebook were different from other realtors weve worked with. I especially liked that the sign he put on our front lawn showed pictures of the house, instead of the normal advertisement for the realtor. TONS of people stopped to look at the gorgeous sign. He also had a text line for people to get more information about the house and get a link to the website. He paid attention to the number of people looking at the house on-line through the various pathways. The open house he had was incredibly successful and well run. He made a great brochure with large gorgeous pictures of the house show casing our house's unique qualities and beauty. We worked with Bryan to sell our home in Minnesota before moving out of state. Though I knew Bryan as a friend from our time in college together, this was our first time working with him as a realtor. He was familiar with both the selling and buying of real-estate, how to reach all kinds of buyers by utilizing new and old techniques like social networks and direct marketing, he understands the strategy on both ends of buying and selling, he is a fantastic negotiator and backs strategy with sound logic, he was always reachable at a moments notice for us, and we ended up getting within 2% of our list price in the fall market, which also exceeded our expectations. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Our standard listing commission is 5 percent for a full-service listing. In addition, we do not charge a broker admin fee, unlike most other brokers in the Twin Cities (typically $300-500).
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have a BA in mass communications, and completed my real estate education at Kaplan. I also have an active Minnesota building contractor license. While I don't work as a contractor for the general public, my wife and I restore old houses in the north metro, making me uniquely familiar with the challenges of both buying and selling older homes.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I was previously a VP for a national publishing conglomerate, left to become an entrepreneur in the marketing and design field and developed a passion for real estate while working with clients from large real estate brokerages in California, Florida, Georgia and other areas.
