I have been taking lessons from Jim for about 6 months. He not only teaches how to play, he is also very good at explaining the concepts behind what he is teaching. He is an excellent piano teacher and I would highly recommend him to all - whether beginner or more accomplished player.

I am a woman in my 40s with very little formal vocal training. I sing very part time in a cover band (mostly 80s & 90s rock). I have had weekly half-hour singing lessons with Arlys for the past year. In just the first few months, I experienced a dramatic transformation in my voice and confidence. I have learned how to warm-up my voice, stand and breathe correctly, form vowel sounds to enhance pitch and tone, transition more easily through chest and head voice, and added at least 4 notes to the upper end of my “performance range.” Over time, my skills increased to the point where our lessons focus on "tweaks" to the songs I will be performing. Arlys’ strengths are her knowledge of how anatomy affects the voice, her ability to explain techniques in a variety of ways (so that at least one of them clicks for me), a prodigious sense of humor, flexibility, and a passion for both teaching and her own continuous learning. Arlys is delightful, and I wholeheartedly recommend her for anyone who wishes to sing better, especially shy singers, young people, and those who need to know “why” or “how” something works.

We started with Jess about a month ago. This is my daughter's second piano teacher -- but the first time she's been SO excited to go (and practice!). Jess is great with kids and very knowledgeable. We started voice lessons as well… another five star!

I have been taking lessons with Shulamit for about 4 months now, and her teaching has helped me immensely to improve. She is incredibly knowledgeable about all things music and is able to offer truly helpful insight that is rare among piano teachers. She is willing to help push me when I wish to strive for harder pieces, but also understands and helps me when I need more practice. I would highly recommend Shulamit to anyone wishing to take piano lessons.

Want to learn guitar in a casual but constructive environment? Try taking a few lessons from Josh Von Mink. When I first became interested, Josh not only offered his advice but actually helped me pick out an acoustic guitar. He found me a sturdy and capable Cort that didn't set me back too much. Then he encouraged me to learn a few things from him. When I finally got around to seriously wanting to spend time with my guitar, Josh was willing to show me the ropes. He is all about the student learning at his or her own speed. We played a few songs by artists we both liked so that the lessons were immediately fun. When I asked for more structure, he was happy to outline some chords and notes on paper for "homework." You know there is always more to learn, and Josh is eager to see people want to connect the dots and move on to the next stage. Most of all, learning from and playing with Josh Von Mink is fun because he has a genuine passion for the guitar and the songwriting that follows from it. He's not afraid to push his students to do a little more than they are capable of, but he's by no means pushy or demanding. He shows off his skill so that you know he's a worthy teacher, but he won't make you feel stupid for not being able to do what he's trying to show. Take advantage of Josh's service and start strumming some tunes! - Levi, Minneapolis, MN

My daughter began her lessons with Mrs. Reisinger June of 2006 when she was just 5 years old. Now six years later, she still enjoys her lessons as much as ever if not more. Carolyn has taught her so much and so well that now one of her favorite hobbies is listening to a song on the radio and then trying to play it on the piano. Carolyn works with her students on NFMC and MMTA , piano recitals and those are wonderful experiences and confidence builders for the student. Carolyn is kind and patient which has really helped my daughter enjoy and stick to her lessons.

The teacher has a unique way of getting through to the student. He is extremely patient and I'm very surprised to be learning so quickly and I've been taking lessons from Jeff for little over a month. He guides you through the music you love and will give you "homework" which has helped a lot. I highly recommend Jeff!

This is my children's third school year attending instrumental music lessons with Dr. Lamb and we are more than satisfied with the quality of Dr. Lamb's instruction. My children are learning how to read music and I can see how proud they are of their learning. Dr. Lamb offers extensive knowledge and is an excellent instructor who wants nothing more than to inspire children to explore their musical abilities.

I came to Dr. Barrett with a "lost/damaged" voice through a recommendation from a singer-friend. (I'd majored in voice at college). I began lessons barely able to sing above "mid range." It took about six months of lessons and diligent practice for my voice to recover. Gradually I gained back vocal range, better breath capacity and a tone quality which I found nearly unbelievable. Andrew is patient and knowledgable and in my humble opinion literally brought my voice back from the dead. I highly recommend him.

I was a student of Jonny's for about 4 years until the end of 2017. I had 18 months of lessons prior to this. Jonny evaluated my abilities, inquired as to what I wanted to achieve and focused on developing these skills. Jonny took me to levels that I never envisioned and challenged me with each lesson. One area that I was interested in was improvisation. He taught me how to use the pentatonic scales, write my own song arpeggios and improvise by playing with him. He challenged me to write riffs by using different techniques. He recommended software which enabled me to write backing tracks that I could play along with. I would recommend that anyone looking for a instructor seriously consider Jonny.

I have liked to sing for decades. I recently started working with Angela for my first voice lessons. She obviously is knowledgeable about the anatomy of voice production. She is working first to give me the understanding of what goes into a quality voice that people want to listen to, by instruction, exercises and personal feedback from her. This is just what I'm looking for in a teacher.

Our daughter had private voice lessons with Sue for a couple of years. Although she just graduated from a performing arts high school where she had an excellent experience, she really 'found her voice' with Sue. She was given a challenging and varied repertoire, had many performance opportunities, and received much positive encouragement and guidance. She was a wonderful coach and gave our daughter some much-needed self-confidence, both on and off stage!

Jared teaches our daughter both cello and ukulele. He has also given my husband some guitar lessons. He is professional, genuine, and works flexibly with our schedule. He works hard to help our daughter do her best in a way that resonates with her. She enjoys her lessons with Jared and has really progressed in her musicianship with him as her teacher.
