Along with his great attitude he also is a great teacher and works really well with both of my daughters, my 17 year old who's taking piano lessons, and my 15 year old who's taking guitar lessons.

I am a woman in my 40s with very little formal vocal training. I sing very part time in a cover band (mostly 80s & 90s rock). I have had weekly half-hour singing lessons with Arlys for the past year. In just the first few months, I experienced a dramatic transformation in my voice and confidence. I have learned how to warm-up my voice, stand and breathe correctly, form vowel sounds to enhance pitch and tone, transition more easily through chest and head voice, and added at least 4 notes to the upper end of my “performance range.” Over time, my skills increased to the point where our lessons focus on "tweaks" to the songs I will be performing. Arlys’ strengths are her knowledge of how anatomy affects the voice, her ability to explain techniques in a variety of ways (so that at least one of them clicks for me), a prodigious sense of humor, flexibility, and a passion for both teaching and her own continuous learning. Arlys is delightful, and I wholeheartedly recommend her for anyone who wishes to sing better, especially shy singers, young people, and those who need to know “why” or “how” something works.

My daughter has been taking singing lessons on and off with Priscilla for the last 8 years since she was 5 years old. Priscilla is amazing, she's very talented, patient, easy to work with and affordable. We have worked on and off because of the phases and lack of seriousness that my daughter has went through in stages since she was so young however she works extremely well with Priscilla and she has learned so much! We are looking forward to taking writing sessions and keyboard lessons with Priscilla as well!

My 12-year old son took guitar lessons from Rachel last summer. She was recommended to me by a friend. He had already had about 3 years of guitar with another teacher. As a parent I liked: how she set the schedule up, the price, her willingness to be flexible with scheduling conflicts, and her balance of playfulness/teaching with lessons. My son liked: the bead system to reinforce practicing, learning chords vs. strumming method, having input into music choice, and comfort of the lesson location. I do not know Rachel well personally, but I was impressed with how organized she was. You can tell she loves music and she is good with children.

My daughter has taken vocal lessons from TC Vocal Arts for 2 years. Within a month of starting lessons, she had noticeable vocal growth. Over time she has expanded her range almost a full octave, as well as improving intonation and sight reading. Angela has been very supportive, including attending some of my daughter's other vocal performances and has been easy to work with for scheduling.

Mary is a very patient teacher. It is nice that she has her business in her home. It makes it feel more quaint. Her lesson cost is reasonable. She makes learning enjoyable through her coaching. I would highly recommend Mary for anyone of any age for piano lessons.

CJ is an amazing teacher. My daughter has been with her for almost two years now and she keeps completing her method books and moving on to the next. CJ is kind, pleasant, and a wonderful musician and has helped my daughter to become very good at the piano.

I've really enjoyed my piano lessons so far with Amit. For me as an adult just starting with piano, he's been a great teacher. Very patient with a relaxing teaching style, both a great piano player, and also very skilled with music software/production.

About

Little Abundance Lessons provides education in a wide range of musical skills to beginner and intermediate students looking to expand their horizons. Whether you need guitar, drums, ukulele, bass guitar, piano, or vocal lessons, Little Abundance will design a custom approach each month to assure your progress. There has never been a limit to the things we can learn about music. Music Theory alone is an abundance of information. Yet no matter how much we learn, there's little we can say to properly describe our passion for music. I can only hope to pass part of that passion on to others. The following things are what to expect as a student with Little Abundance Lessons: 1. Being treated as an individual, with unique desires and needs 2. Progress with physical and intellectual control of your instrument 3. Motivation to practice (and love practice) 4. Excitement for your next lesson

About

I serve both adults and children and teach piano and voice and acting lessons. I specialize in preparing students to audition for choirs or theater productions. I especially love teaching piano to older adults. I have been an actor and a singer, singing with the Minnesota Opera Company for many years.

About

I am a professional vocalist in the Twin Cities who also has a knack for academics. I have been tutoring students in music, math, writing, and Spanish since my high school years, and my bachelor's in music, anthropology, and psychology from Macalester College has only further fueled my passion for teaching.

About

Christina Adamoli is an active musician in the Twin Cities, with interests ranging from Bluegrass to Opera Theatre. Christina has taught music in group settings since 2013, where she led an introduction to music workshop for adults with developmental disabilities through To The Rescue in Parker, Colorado. As part of a summer workshop program in 2015, she directed opera scenes, coached singers, and led musical rehearsals for students of Greenwood Music Studio. Christina has studied German Lieder and Scandinavian Art Song extensively, and is currently preparing a lecture-recital for the spring of 2018 on the life and music of the female Norwegian composer, Agathe Backer-Grøndahl. Christina works with students to find vocal freedom and a balanced production. In her personal experience, the most effective teaching guides have been adaptable to their student’s learning needs. Lessons are tailored to the individual’s vocal development and focus on ear-training, theory, basic piano skills, breath, alignment, diction, expression, and more. A solid foundation in classical technique will allow the student to traverse any genre of musical expression.
