Latest Review: To give some background, I was a recovering bulimic who obsessed with food and absolutely hated looking at the mirror. I’ve tried personal trainers a couple years of ago (usually the ones that give free sessions with your gym membership), but they didn’t help with building a positive self-image. Finally, I was fed up with my body and my strength (or lack thereof), so I googled for affordable personal trainers outside of gyms with good reviews. One of the reasons I picked Brandon right away is because of his affordable rate. Forty dollars per session is a steal, especially when he drives to your location and pays for his own parking at your own appointed time. That kind of service is very helpful for a struggling college student. Not to mention, he quickly identified a good meal plan, and he used the free assessment to really personalize the workouts he gives. It also helps to have a trainer who cares about your progress and doesn’t beat you up if you have a bad week. Sometimes life happens, but at least he’s there to advise you on what you should change if something isn’t working. I think he caught on that I love positive reinforcement, because his encouragement and advice really pushed me to change my lifestyle. The weight loss wasn’t even the best part about his training. I used to hate sports, athletics, or any kind of physical activity, but now I love running. Working out has officially replaced my netflix binges. I am super thankful and happy that I’ve had this experience.

Latest Review: Training with Eric has been amazing. I was nervous to start because I have a lower back injury, and I didn’t want to make it worse. Eric has been able to modify every workout so I get the best results. He is the best trainer I have ever worked with and he gave me confidence and pushed me beyond my comfort Zone. Eric works very closely helping to give you nutrition advice, and follows up weekly or daily. He cares about each person he traines with and is the most passionate trainer I have ever met. I recommend Eric to anyone looking to lose weight, tone up, or to get started on your fitness journey. You won’t regret it!

Latest Review: Let me preface this with ‘getting in shape is difficult’. No one can do the work for you and there aren’t any shortcuts. Once you’ve come to accept that a personal trainer can open the door but it’s entirely on you to walk through it, then I think you are ready for Carl. He is, by a mile, the best personal trainer I’ve ever had. He’s not only fluent in physiology but also discipline. Carl developed a curriculum for me to achieve my personal goal of getting into good enough shape to attract a mate (i.e. muscle building and burning fat). Good news is it’s working. It’s working great. I look and feel better than ever. Bad news, I still haven’t found that special someone…. maybe it’s my personality… in any case, Carl’s got the secret sauce. To give you an idea of some of the things he has me doing; back/overhead/front squats, deadlifts, power cleans, burpees, pullups, dips, sprints, and so much more. Not only did he show me what I should be doing and how often, he pushes me to my full potential. Lastly, he’s getting high on his own supply. Normally this is a bad thing. Not in this case. I’ve never been able to respect out-of-shape physical trainers. Why would you take drawing classes from someone who is a terrible draw-er? Same applies to fitness. Carl is a physical specimen. He’s a walking, talking testament to the efficacy of his methods. Not for the faint of heart. But then again, if getting in shape was easy everyone would do it. It’s an exclusive club and Carl is the best person to help you earn your admission.

Latest Review: Tyler is experienced, incredibly knowledgable and tailors my workout program to my specific goals and what works for my family's schedule. Even though I only see him twice a week, we are constantly in contact. Whether it be me asking questions about nutrition and macros or him sending me daily workouts and assessing my soreness; it's as if I have a personal trainer everyday. He clearly loves what he does and he's taking my fitness to a whole other level.

Latest Review: I have had a variety of trainers over the years, and it wasn't until I started working with Jill that I truly understood how important a trainer could really be. Diagnosed with cancer, I felt like life was ending. Jill helped me recover through multiple surgeries, helped me smile when all I wanted to do was cry, and most of all, helped me find myself again. Words can't possibly describe my gratitude for all she's done for me. I'll be a client of hers for life! Thank you Thumbtack for connecting us.

Latest Review: Over the last five years I've gone through more trainers then I can count. For one reason or another, they never work out. That is until I met Steve. I've been training with Steve for over a year now, and he is a perfect match for me. He doesn't let me walk away from my goals (trust me I've tried). He's motivating, dedicated, and educated in fitness. Working in healthcare, I know a lot about the human body. So it's easy for me to spot a phoney trainer (someone who pretends they know what their talking about). Steve is just the opposite, he is educated and passionate about his career and it shows. ive already referred friends and family to Hoke fitness and have yet to find someone who disagrees with me. I've finally ended my tourtoris search for a trainer, and I encourage everyone to try Hoke fitness so your search can be over too!
