- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
- In person preliminary meeting once contract is signed - Accessible by telephone, and email throughout lead-up to wedding/event day. - Within 6 months of wedding/event we send an on line, fillable Abbey Road Events Planning Worksheet. - At bride and groom's discretion, before wedding/event we request a further in-person meeting to walk through the calendar of events for the day. - ARE curates all the custom formal song requests, and playlists (Note: ARE's music library is 100% legal, and professionally compiled) - 3 weeks before wedding/event - we contact the venue to discuss load-in/load-out logistics and curfew times.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Shaun, the owner operator of ARE started his DJ career in London, England in 1983 as an "apprentice" to a notable DJ. Under his guidance Shaun learned the skills of music programming (what to play, and when to play it), presentation, microphone technique, and most importantly music knowledge.
