Joel really enjoyed his guitar lessons. He both learned a lot and had a lot of fun. He appreciated your willingness to allow him to have some say in what he wanted to learn but at the same time give direction on what would be good for him to know. Thank you!
Lorena is a very accomplished pianist who cares about every one of her students. She takes the time to individualize their lessons and they learn not only how to play the piano, but to love music:) Thank you,Lorena, for caring so much.
Andreia is wonderful with my kids. I have two students there, and as they have progressed, I have seen the lessons targeted at their strengths and working to shore up their individual weaknesses. She introduces material that interests my students, especially when they are struggling with practice motivation. She also includes elements like composition and arrangement that really stretch the students. She is easy to work with, and not only excels in her knowledge of the material to be taught but also of the individual student working through the material. I highly recommend her.
Mary is a very patient teacher. It is nice that she has her business in her home. It makes it feel more quaint. Her lesson cost is reasonable. She makes learning enjoyable through her coaching. I would highly recommend Mary for anyone of any age for piano lessons.
I have to say we are so happy to have Loren as a teacher! He is phenomenal with our girls, and they are really improving. I had no idea how lacking they were in instruction from our previous teacher until we started lessons with Loren. He was definitely the breath of fresh air they needed. He is extremely knowledgeable has a wonderfully warm manner that encourages our kids to not only practice hard, but also to love music and love playing piano. I couldn't be more pleased!
I took long-distance lessons with Unca T in the winter of 2016 and I got so much out of them! I've been playing guitar for years, but had reached a certain level and hadn't progressed in a long time. So, I had some specific skills that I wanted to work on. T. prepared lessons that were exactly what I was looking for and kept me accountable to practice. It was an excellent experience. The next time I have room in my budget, I'd love to take more lessons with him.
Just thought I would tell you that my daughter did her practice for my mom (piano teacher, musically talented) tonight and my mom said that she thought "her teacher was doing an excellent job" 😊. She was impressed with what [student] has learned so far. So thanks!

I have a degree in the arts. I have thirty-five years of theater experience, including designing and building stage and film scenery, acting, directing, and producing. I've also studied guitar for that period of time. Oncoming arthritis has prompted me to impart my knowledge to anyone who wants to learn what I have learned over the years.
Cheaper than most. Fun, enjoyable. Enhance not only tennis skills, but fundamental life skills that work with social and cognitive skills.

I have taught in school previously and have given piano and organ lessons for many years. I was also a church organist for years in Indiana. I give lessons to all ages. We have a recital at the Gonda building once a year. I have a few openings.
I have a passion for music and for teaching. I focus on classical training but will improvise based on the students' interests. I believe that every student learns differently, so I teach at the student's pace. Within a 30-minute lesson, I will cover basics such as theory, technique, and performance. As I meet with the students weekly, I will give them assignments for the week, such as a song to learn, theory pages to finish, or scales to practice. I bring excitement to every lesson and try to make it fun to learn. I like to get to know my students and find out what their interests are. Throughout the year, I will have small contests and goal charts that give students an incentive to learn with prizes to be won!

I am a professional musician, and I started Rochester Guitar Studios to teach private lessons on the guitar, the banjo, the bass and auto harp. I have devised a method that starts with chords and songs then continues with all the techniques you need to learn and play well. For the banjo, I use the Earl Scruggs method for obvious reasons. I would also be willing to try Skype if you want.
