We added a master bath to our house. I bought the American Standard "Rattan" under mount sink. We found the granite we wanted at Astonia in Rogers, MN. Everything went as planned - except they did not follow the manufacturers template or specs for the hole size for the sink! I could see right after they left, that the hole was way too small! I checked American Standard's website and found their exact specs for the hole size and sure enough - they cut the hole too small. The granite hung over the edge of the sink in the corners by over an inch! I have granite in my kitchen and my family room and neither of those sinks are partially covered by the granite. When I called - Mark from Astonia said he would come and take a look. If you look at the pictures on their website all the sinks look like the hole is the right size – hmm… I wonder how that happened! When he got here he was polite enough, but said that is the way they do it and there was nothing that they would do to fix it. Bottom line - he gave me a lot of excuses - including that no one does it any different - and no one does cutting on the job...it "can't be done"! I told him I was extremely unsatisfied and not happy, but he said there was nothing they could do. My contractor who did the remodel for us even called them, and he said they are not willing to do anything. We HATED the way it looked so we hired another company to cut the hole bigger. They do it all the time! $600 dollars later we loved our sink. I own my own business and would NEVER let a client be unhappy if I could fix it! No talk of refunds or discount (they were paid in full). I definitely would NOT recommend Astonia Artisans of Rogers. Susan Imsdahl, Becker, MN
