- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
If you are inviting someone to entertain at your special event, with people you care about, do your homework! Don't simply look at prices and pretty websites! Call the entertainers and artists directly and make sure you are comfortable with them, even over the phone. Don't simply hire over email, or you'll have no way of knowing if the individual is a good match for the special people in your life.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Sometimes people will base their entertainment budget on the prices that they find online. Customers need to understand that there are 2 types of entertainment providers in the Twin Cities... Those who compete with quality and those who compete with price (because they cannot compete with quality). If you don't care who entertains your children, and quality doesn't matter, then it's perfectly fine to shop for the lowest price. Please understand, however, that "you get what you pay for".
