To give some background, I was a recovering bulimic who obsessed with food and absolutely hated looking at the mirror. Ive tried personal trainers a couple years of ago (usually the ones that give free sessions with your gym membership), but they didnt help with building a positive self-image. Finally, I was fed up with my body and my strength (or lack thereof), so I googled for affordable personal trainers outside of gyms with good reviews. One of the reasons I picked Brandon right away is because of his affordable rate. Forty dollars per session is a steal, especially when he drives to your location and pays for his own parking at your own appointed time. That kind of service is very helpful for a struggling college student. Not to mention, he quickly identified a good meal plan, and he used the free assessment to really personalize the workouts he gives. It also helps to have a trainer who cares about your progress and doesnt beat you up if you have a bad week. Sometimes life happens, but at least hes there to advise you on what you should change if something isnt working. I think he caught on that I love positive reinforcement, because his encouragement and advice really pushed me to change my lifestyle. The weight loss wasnt even the best part about his training. I used to hate sports, athletics, or any kind of physical activity, but now I love running. Working out has officially replaced my netflix binges. I am super thankful and happy that Ive had this experience.
John is an excellent trainer he provides just the right amount of fitness coaching required for a person of my age and limitations. He is been very conscientious when working with me and although he pushes me hard, he also understands that I do have some physical limitations and works within my framework. overall I think he is an outstanding fitness trainer and would highly recommend John

Jayme, 24 Bartender Training since 3 months Goals: To improve muscle definition and overall tone through incorporating weight lifting into my cardio-dominated workout regime. Reason for starting/continuing: I was having a hard time staying motivated at the gym due to the fact that nearly all of my routines were cardio focused. I was ready to get off of the hamster wheel of treadmills and elliptical machines and work more technical and effective exercises into my routine. I realized quickly that my lack of experience and confidence in weight training was hindering my fitness goals. For several years, Chad has been coming to our home once a week to work with my son as his personal trainer. I first was referred to Chad while he was working as a personal trainer at LifeTime Fitness. Another personal trainer at LifeTime felt that Chad would connect well with my teenaged son who has an autism-spectrum disorder. Joe is amazing to work with and gets results! I worked with Joe Cross for 12 months. His workouts were always engaging, professional, and fun. He promotes a wellness model that includes exercise, nutrition, and healthy habits. I dropped a lot of weight, gained a lot of muscle, and am very happy with the work Joe did; he is a life saver...literally! I have been with Healthy Training for over 2 years now. I have participated in nutrition programs, small group classes such as bootcamps or zumba, and personal 1 on 1 training. Ellie and all of the trainers have been excellent to work with and importantly take the time to understand what YOUR goals are. The place is small and personal enough that you always get individual attention even in group activities, and the trainers are friendly and know their stuff. They make sure you are working out hard but safely. Personal training and group class rates are extremely competitive compared to the marketplace. You aren't paying for the overhead of a smoothie bar or sauna. Just a very focused, high value place to better your health, strength, and conditioning. Highly recommended.
I've used personal training before and it's pretty easy to tell when someone really cares vs just doing their job. Jordan is extremely passionate and knowledgeable about fitness as well as nutrition, and even has helped me create meal plans to aid in my goals in addition to fitness routines. I have worked out on my own my entire life and after 5 kids I didn’t think I would ever see the results I wanted. I started working with Barb and Scott because several family members had started working with them and they were getting amazing results! After a few short months I knew that I had made the right decision. Now after almost 1 year I can say that I am in the best shape of my life at 40+ and 5 kids later than I was in my 20s. A few months ago I bought my first ever bikini and wore it in Las Vegas on a trip with my husband! I can’t thank Scott and Barb enough for everything they have helped me with! Aili was my personal trainer for my first bikini competition. She trained me before pre-comp to get me started when I knew nothing. When pre-comp came along she trained me for 12 weeks. During both these times she gave me workouts to build my muscle and tone my body, along with meal plans to prepare my body. She always made sure I had the information I needed and always on time. Whenever I had any little or big question she was always willing to answer it, and answer it as quick as possible. I always felt confident with her and trusted her with every piece of me. During this pre-comp every little thing matters and having an understanding, and caring trainer really made it much easier. She does a great job with always listening to what you want, but also always made sure your body and you were doing what was needed for the competition. Aili checked in with me often to make sure I was feeling well, and always wanted me happy. I would have never done this competition if it weren't for her motivation, and push to keep me going. I could have never asked for a better trainer, and I can't imagine doing this without her. I am working with her in off season right now preparing myself for my next bikini competition and even during the off season she is a great listener and always willing to help. I am still learning and she is a trainer you can always count on to have push you to your limits and even beyond those to get to something amazing and great! I never thought I would be as happy as I am with how far iv come, but I'm even happier then I could have imagined and I know I couldn't have done it without her. She is a fabulous trainer and can really help you get to where you want, and even further!
I started to work with Colleen 8 years ago. When I signed up for personal training I was terrified to enter a gym; I didn't even know how to stretch. Colleen walked me through eating healthy as well as how to exercise. Over the course of a year I lost 30 lbs and gained a ton of confidence. 8 years later I am comfortable in a bikini and walking into any hotel gym. I play sports with my kids and all my biometric screening results are in the normal range. Colleen made the workouts fun and could always help me get motivated. I would highly recommend Colleen!!!
I've been working with Andrea for several months and have a plan in place for the entire year. I expect to continue working with her indefinitely.She is phenomenal in three distinct ways: 1. she is an expert in what she does. Andrea draws on years of experience with athletes as well as her own creatiivty to make workouts that are varied, challenging, fun and explicitly tailored to skill level. 2. her approach is holistic: nutrition and diet play an instrumental role in fitness and Andrea helped me set up goals on My Fitness Pal and gives me feedback once a week on how I am doing. I have workouts for the entire week not just for our sessions together. She understands that mental stress also impacts physical fitness and encouraged me to incorporate yoga or meditation into my routine. Key to Andrea is to help you stretch but also listen to your body. 3. is attitude: Andrea is incredibly down to earth and invested in her clients' success. I haven't worked with other trainers but I was formerly a competitive runner and team captain, and I also interviewed many other trainers, so I have seen first hand that someone can have the intellectual knowledge but lack the coaching ability or holistic view of what it takes to meet your goals. Can't say enough wonderful things about Andrea. I'm getting stronger and feeling my best self working with her.

I am not a skinny person and never been one but stayed in average weight and felt comfortable in my favorite clothes but work stress took a toll. I was depressed and stressed out, and added 20 kgs.
