I had always been active but my solo workouts werent giving me the desired results. Choosing John Peters as my personal trainer changed all that. During my two years working out with John, he taught me how to get the most out of my strength training and cardio. John is knowledgeable, accessible and responsive. What I most appreciate about John is that he made an effort to know me and what type of workouts I needed to be successful. He made me work hard and once I saw the results I was able to make myself work hard. I moved to Texas five years ago. I keep asking him to move here because I cant find a quality trainer that kicks my butt like he did. However, because of Johns coaching, Im able to continue the exercise program I learned from him and maintain the results he helped me create.
Great experience. Working out with Chris has made such a difference. I have been working out with him for over a year. I started out just wanting to lift weights. I have always been active and worked out at the gym in addition to running. He first sat down with me and asked me what my goals were and did an assessment and set up a plan specific to me. It not only included weight training, but incorporated proper nutrition and regular cardio program tailored to me. What a difference working with Chris. Reasons for starting and continuing: I was not physically active until my late 30s. At the time that I started training with Drew, I was attending group cardio classes three to four times a week. I had seen some results. Drew told me that if I trained with him, I should see better results. I was ready to step it up. Five months later, I was shopping for summer clothing in a smaller size! I would like to continue to firm and tone and purchase clothing another size smaller. I like to be able to say that weight training is a part of my life. Thoughts on training methods: Drew is always calm and encouraging. Drew is able to motivate me. He is able to get me to accomplish exercises and lift weight that I thought I could not do. After completing one session of my assigned number of lunges, I counted just how many I actually accomplished and I was amazed! I was exhausted and sore the next day, but I Did It! What do you like about Fitness Garden: Drew has been very accommodating with my schedule. I like the privacy at Fitness Garden, its just like working out at home. I saw Elisa for training while she was working at LA fitness, she was my first trainer I've ever worked with. i decided to do training because I haven't worked out since I was a hockey player in high school and gained some weight being at college. Elisa did exactly what I asked her to. She would start each session with " what do you wanna work on today?" another thing I really liked was we did something new every session. (Unless there was something I liked then we would continue) but she had new work outs for me to do every time. One thing I noticed at the gym that I see some trainers do is bring there clients on the treadmill during there sessions. Why would you wanna waste your short 30min or hour sessions on the treadmill?! Elisa never did that. If I needed help on cardio she would show me or write up things that I could do on my own time. I wish I was able to afford doing hour sessions when I did then. 1/2 hour flew by and by the end of it i felt like I was just getting started, so if you can, do a full hour!
I have been working with Andrea for almost three months! She is motivating and encouraging! I have learned how to eat better and have gained more strength than I ever thought I could in this amount of time! I have a more defined midsection and core strength! Andrea has given me workouts and cardio workouts to do on my own! They are easy to follow and fun to do! I use to hate to do planking! I love to PLANK Now! I've always considered myself relatively "fit". I was a "triathlete" if you may. You know, the one who ran for miles on end, taught numerous cardio classes and a yoga socialite. Admittedly, I was the utmost epitome of a cardio bunny. I'm working the most important muscle in my body so how could I not be fit, right? And I thought that was enough until someone showed me just how poorly I've mistreated the rest of my muscles. Kristine plays a major part for my passion and love for weight lifting. I was this little weakling who cringed at the idea of curling a 5 lbs. dumbbell when she first introduced me to bodybuilding a few years back. Similarly to everyone who swore and declared their New Years resolutions earlier this year, my goal was to transform in a very short and specific time frame, 11 weeks to be exact. It's been a few weeks since that goal expired and I'm constantly being asked how I did it. For one, the goal was never mine alone. Kristine had genuinely shared interest in making my goals her own. And this is what truly sets her apart from the rest. It's not a mere job for her, where others would ritually show up for the sake of making that dollar. She's passionate and she truly cares about her clients (who all become so keen towards her). People that are robotic in their ways are manifested through their products. But not Kristine. Once a client is assigned, she makes every effort to foster and create a unique relationship with every single one, much like a parent is with all their children. As long as you're compliant and do not try to resist what you're being told, you will achieve those goals much sooner than you realize ;)
Training at Super Fit Fitness with Ron Nies changed my life. When I started in June 2011, I weighed a little over 194 pounds. At 510 and 28 years old I was rather embarrassed about my beer belly and lack of muscles. In the past I tried working out on my own, but would overheat and gas out within 30 minutes of any physical activity. Lauren has been my personal trainer for the past year. During this time, I've lost 30 lbs, gone from a size 10 to a size 4, and increased my muscle tone to a point that I never thought was possible. While I’m still at the beginning of my fitness journey he has already helped me significantly by getting me motivated and resdy for what’s ahead. Giving me tips and tricks for days I don’t see him. We have been working on many mobility and strength training excersizes while mixing in some cardio. Every time I see him he’s ready with a new workout specifically for my wants and body shape. I have attended Melisa's P90x classes. The P90x classes are a great opportunity to workout with others. They have a personal training feel in a group atmosphere as she focuses on cardio, weight training, and abs. She took the time to correct form throughout the classes especially when I was doing a move improperly that could have be harmful if I had continued. The classes are fun, lively, and well put together. She explains why and what each move is focusing on and what you are working towards. I will be attending more classes and am using her as a personal trainer as well.
