Stephen Michael Design Studios

Introduction: I have been working as an artist for nearly 30 years. My work has been featured in museums, galleries and on stage, from Boston to Seattle. I am a graduate of John Heron School of Art in Indianapolis. My work includes design and execution of illustrations, murals, and themed environments. My fine arts background has given me the tools to be diverse in my creativity to switch from large-scale murals and imagery to smaller, finely detailed paintings and illustrations. I have painted backdrops and scenery for several touring children’s shows, including Sesame Street Live, Bear in the Big Blue House, Dragon Tales, My Little Pony, and Care Bears. I've done themed murals and environments for commercial, residential, and public spaces. My illustrations have been noted for their rich colors and textures as well as their emotional depth and clarity of image. I specialize in creating and executing custom designs for clients based on their ideas, wants, and needs.
