Introduction: I have been doing this for a very long time. The importance of an experienced guitar teacher cannot be understated. Over the years, I have developed a system of teaching, which uses familiar songs (primarily rock, blues, funk, jazz, and country, not the corny old folk tunes in beginner method books) to demonstrate various aspects of guitar playing. It's a fun and productive way to learn. I have had so much fun playing guitar for so many years, so one of my favorite things about teaching is seeing students experience the same enjoyment. Being a part of that is rewarding for me.
