Worked with Julio to install backsplash in my kitchen. Did a great job recommending type of style and installing it in a very timely manner. Plan on using his company for future projects.Mar 26, 2018Verified
Great experience. Julio installed a new wood railing in my home and it looks beautiful. The total time between initial estimate and project completion was 11 days--which we especially appreciated because we have a baby due really soon. Julio has an eye for design and kept making improvements/suggestions throughout the installation process. I felt that he did not cut any corners and truly wanted to produce a quality product, even though I know the project took him longer than he initially expected. Julio is also very friendly and personable. Also, he's great with dogs--we had no problem letting our dog roam around while they were at the house.Mar 9, 2017Verified
He over charged double of what the job consisted of. Verified with 5 other contractors to confirm. The job should only cost $500-$700 and he tried to charge me $1600 for 5 hrs of work in total. When I explained that he has over charged me and I wasn’t going to pay the additional $800 he said he will put a lien on my house. I have a 10x40 room that all I needed was the seams and butts taped and sanded ready for paintJul 30, 2018VerifiedJulio C.'s reply
Today Dear Customers, JC Woodfloor Installation is an honest and reliable company. We have been working for over 16 years and we serve customers in an honest and professional way by delivering top-quality work on their projects. When I met up with Mr. Greg, he said that he had already got some other estimates, and he liked my price. He said that after meeting up with other contractors, and taking into consideration my price and reviews, he decided to sign a contract with me. The job was to tape, mud and sand two walls and a ceiling. The ceiling and the drywall that was there had been installed incorrectly by Mr. Greg himself, and I also had to fix all the mistakes, and add drywall where it was needed. The two walls were 8x by 6x, and the ceiling was 10x by 40 feet. We both decided to sign the contract to do the job at the price of $1,600 Mr. Greg paid half the money up front, but once the job was completed he avoided me for four days, and then eventually, after giving me the run-around, said he had no intention to pay me the rest of the money. We are working though Thumbtack by Thumbtack reaching out to Mr. Greg so he can honor the contract. Please let me emphasize JC Woodfloor Installation provides services in an honest, professional, and reliable way, and we honor our contracts.
Never bothered to respond with a bid after wasting my time to come do an estimate. Never responded to multiple follow up messages. It’s as if he fell off the edge of the earth.Jun 24, 2018Verified

- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? We provide the customer with a free estimate and new and old reviews, and if requested, we also provide references.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am a welder by trade and work in construction equally well, plus I have done customer service, therefore, I believe I'm qualified to work with customers so they ultimately are satisfied with their projects and have a great experience.
