After communicating, on Tuesday of this week, we agreed she would come to my home to provide a deep cleaning on Friday afternoon from 2-5 pm. I took off work for the afternoon, so she could do the work. On Friday morning (!!!) she apologized “with sincerity” but she would not be able to complete the work because she had to meet her child at the bus. Seriously- with sincerity. We are a property management and real estate investment group with over 200 units, so we work with many cleaners throughout the Twin Cities. As a fellow business owner, you would think Ashley would be upfront with her clients about the method of payments she accepts (which include ONLY cash, venmo, pay pal or cash app) none of which are efficient methods of payment for any company. We scheduled an appointment with her for 2:30 on a Friday. At 2pm she told us that she would be unable to accept a business check and after a bit of back and forth we agreed to pay her by pay pal. Instead, at 2:22pm, 8 minutes before her scheduled arrival time to the property, she decided it would be better to cancel. I understand fully that policies are in place for reason and in 2019 not accepting a check is not out of the ordinary. However, the unprofessionalism of canceling at the last minute, leaving us to scramble and clean the unit on our own before tenants pick up keys at 4pm, and still denying to carry out the agreed upon service when OUR policies are adjusted to work with her is totally unacceptable. From one business owner to another, my advice to you is, be upfront with your personal business policies and make sure that your clients are in agreement before the service is booked. To any property management, rental, or real estate companies looking for help with turnovers, you will find a more reliable and professional cleaner elsewhere. Personally, I recommend Bloomies Cleaning Services : 612-326-0448 They are reliable, fairly priced, and thorough. Ashley canceled just prior to being scheduled to be in my home Thursday to prepare for my wedding Saturday morning. To say it was inconvenient would be an understatement. She had a daycare issue an stated that she would reschedule. That didn't work for me with so much going on.
