- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I normally charge one time cleans and the first clean of a reoccurring customer by the hour. Afterwards, the price goes to a fixed rate and that is the price I normally send when responding to customers through thumbtack.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, I will send an estimate through thumbtack. Second, set up a time via thumbtack or voice call to meet with you and take a tour of your home. Third, finalize the amount when I visit your home and set up a reoccurring schedule for me to come clean for you!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
It’s in my blood! My mom, sister-in-law, cousin, aunt, and even my grandma have all been house cleaners. It was my neighbor though who decided to train me in and needed me on her house cleaning jobs while she was preparing for knee surgery. At the time I was a pharmacy technician but found myself enjoying the entrepreneurial spirit of starting my own business and the freedom to work for myself and the satisfaction of building relationships with my customers. I’m always so excited to clean for someone and allow them to truly relax and enjoy their sparkling home.
