- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?We offer a sliding scale, (discounted rate) for those who meet income guidelines.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I recommend a consultation phone call to ensure I have a general understanding of what is going on and to identify the basic goal(s) of therapy and how I can help. The first session is what I refer to as an “information gathering session” as I strive to get as much context/history as possible before giving feedback/advice/input. Everyone has different needs and may not want to “go back in time” so to speak so therefore I would gather relevant information and identify the goals of those involved and collaborate on that process.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?In addition to specializing in couples and family therapy for nearly a decade I also specialize in addiction counseling. One thing I often hear from my clients is that they appreciate that I am direct, goal orientated and do a lot of educating and skills building.
