FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
When it comes to pricing, nothing is better than simplicity. That is why we keep our price structure as simple as possible. For local moves, we charge a fixed hourly rate in 15 minute (.25 hour) increments from the time we leave our office until the time we return. We have no additional fees or charges, and the final bill presented to you will be based on the actual time taken to complete the job. There is a two hour minimum on all jobs. Moves are dispatched and billed from one of three portal points located in St. Paul, Edina or Oakdale depending on which is closest to your move.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We work with our customers to identify the best solution for their specific situation and then set up an estimate for these services. Estimates can be made over the phone, online through our website or by having one of our move consultants come over to perform a free on-site evaluation. After the estimate we lock in a date and time in the schedule, and double check with the customer a couple days prior to the move if there has been any changes since the initial situation. On the date of move our Crew will call the customer to let them know they are on their way. Once our Crew is done with the move they will double check with the customer if there is anything else they need done before finishing up the final paperwork. We take customer service very seriously and work with our clients throughout the the entire move process from the initial contact until post move follow-up to make sure their move experience was as good as it could have been.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We believe in the value of experience. Our movers are either experienced movers, or have been expertly trained in the techniques and practices used throughout the moving industry. Apart from moving experience, the owners of The Move Crew bring several years of experience in owning and running small companies, along with degrees in business management, administration and entrepreneurship.
