- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I promise you, I am worth every single penny. I know this is a big decision for people, but I can truly help you transform your home--I can radically change the way you feel about coming home at the end of a day. I can work with you on discounts for multiple visits--I'm very mindful of client budgets--just ask me and we can work something out in most cases. Often my clients are able to make back my fee by tax deductions for items they donate, selling items online, or from "found" money--one client found hundreds of dollars of giftcards she had lost while we were cleaning out her office!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?We have an initial meeting, whether in person or via phone (or text if you're really not a phone person!) and discuss your goals for yourself and your home. Then I discuss how we can best work together, and we set up a plan for our first in-person home session. Typically the first session is 2-3 hours, so you can ease into the process and learn what working together will feel like. Decluttering tends to be contagious, and usually clients want to keep the process going quickly after that.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?In addition to a psychology degree and 20 years of experience in sales and marketing at Fortune 500 companies, I was the second person in Minnesota (and only the 179th person on the globe!) to be certified in the KonMari Method, pioneered by Marie Kondo, whose book The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up has sold over 10 million copies in 40 languages. I trained with Marie herself, along with trainers who have worked with her for years. This certification is rigorous and I am able to guide clients using this method, which differs from other traditional organizing methods.
