Very dedicated engineer who won't stop till the audio is satisfyingly mixed. Me being an engineer myself, I learned quit a bit from what he's showed me in the studio and in multiple recording sessions.

Elijah Deaton-Berg puts a huge amount of work into projects. He knows a lot about the recording studio and the equipment. He is very creative when it comes to making suggestions. He is possibly the best producer I've worked with. This is not an exaggeration.

Elijah is really passionate about what he does, and he is good at it too. Elijah recorded and produced my band Burn Fetish's album. We talked a while about how we wanted the record to sound and he knew exactly what we were talking about and how to achieve it. Something that really impressed me about Elijah is his ability to find clarity, even when there are lots of tracks being played at once. There are moments through out our album that have 7 or more instruments, often with heavy distortion, playing during a specific part. You can still make out each sound which is something we've had trouble with from engineers in the past. This dude does his work quickly, cheaply, and effectively. What else can you ask for.

Elijah is an awesome engineer who's always looking for new and unique ways to develop his engineering skills. Elijah is a pleasure to work with and is full of great ideas and tricks that can bring the most out of any project. I would absolutely recommend any musicians in the twin cities area to work with Elijah.

FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I price per song when working with bands. I'm not here to break the bank, I'm here to work with bands and make albums, and be compensated along the way. I don't want the pressure of hourly payments to weigh on the quality and enjoyment of the recording and mixing process.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I sit down and discuss the album or recording they are wanting to make. I understand that making a record is almost never produced by a single producer i.e. myself. It is a collaboration between the engineer and the band, who usually are the writers and creators of the music in the first place. They have been around the music a lot longer than I will have been, but I can bring a fresh look and perspective of how the songs can be captured and presented, with experience to back that perspective.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I received my Bachelor Degree in Music Production from McNally Smith College of Music. I also was an intern at Pachyderm Studios in Cannon Falls for a year. This was the same studio Nirvana cut their legendary final release, In Utero, as well as hosting the likes of PJ Harvey, Soul Asylum, and many others. Here I was a fly on the wall, learning how professional bands record and operate in a high end commercial studio environment. Following this I was an intern at Minnesota Public Radio assisting their technical director with live band sessions for 89.3 The Current, where I learned more about the dynamics of touring bands and the music industry as well as how to capture a great recording in a quick and efficient fashion.
