Steve was great. He did everything we asked and even made suggestions about a better plan for the same price. Will def hire again.
We had a challenging job, needed repair on our chimney wall peppered with woodpecker damage. Larry came out immediately to assess the damage and came up with a solution to our awful problem. He did great work! Ready to hire him for the next project (deck). Thanks Larry.
Tyler did a fairly decent job despite the fact that nothing in our old home is straight or completely flat. His tiles were straight and of a consistent width apart. Nearly all tiles save one were installed perfectly flat. My only criticism of his work are his choices to: 1. install a single subway tile that was clearly cut far too short instead of just cutting another tile for the space. Thankfully, that tile was located immediately under the hood vent and it isn't all that visible after caulking; and 2. install a floor tile under a door casing that should have been cut since the long casing forced the tile to sit much lower than the adjacent tile under the doorway. The end result is a very unsightly height difference between two tiles in a high traffic, high visibility doorway; and 3. start the first tiles along the back wall too large so that the first tiles spilling into our entryway were too small (his words). There were two other issues with the install but they were entirely my fault for not explaining my expectations and I should be able to work around them.
Great experience. Julio installed a new wood railing in my home and it looks beautiful. The total time between initial estimate and project completion was 11 days--which we especially appreciated because we have a baby due really soon. Julio has an eye for design and kept making improvements/suggestions throughout the installation process. I felt that he did not cut any corners and truly wanted to produce a quality product, even though I know the project took him longer than he initially expected. Julio is also very friendly and personable. Also, he's great with dogs--we had no problem letting our dog roam around while they were at the house.
Jacob did a great job with my retaining wall he put together. He was extremely punctual and was quick with his communication. He understood what I wanted done and got it done in a quick, but professional manner.
See for yourself. Could not be more satisfied. This is just the front. The backside got even more work to include a patio door, lighting, deck, and new cement work for a patio and sidewalk. BARC also took care of some badly needed electrical work, & chimney repair. The quality of the windows is unmatched and comes with a lifetime guarantee. (Window issues solved forever). My home, to include the garage, is pretty much maintenance free now with the new siding, windows and gutters. Best part is the whole process, aside from really quality workmanship, was how quickly this big job was completed. It never felt like a rush job, and it didn't drag on either. These guys stuck to their projected time frame and got to work to complete the project. Digging into this project, a couple of fairly serious issues in the existing structure became apparent, water damage rotted a garage wall, and ants were making a home in the living room wall. BARC fixed these issues without a losing time or cleaning out my checking account. If you want windows, or a couple of up-dates, they can take care of you. If it is a major overhaul with unforeseen issues, they still take care of you. Keeping all this work coordinated, me updated, and always available for any questions, concerns, thoughts was Jim McCrank. The guy is really easy to work with and none of that "slick salesman" nonsense. So pretty impressed with BARC from my first contact with them all the way through the process and the finished work. Very satisfied on my end and highly recommend BARC
I have hired Rodriguez Construction (Paul) for several projects over the past few years and has done excellent work and I am planning on hiring for additonal work in the future. He is patient and thorough - he works to complete the project to exacting standards - works to "get it right" even if it takes more time! I have had him do a complete bath (remove and replace exisiting tub, shower tile, floor tile, sink, shower fixtures, grab bars, etc), replace kitchen floor (remove existing laminate, level and set existing sub-floor and replace with ceramic tile) as well as custom-size exterior french doors (needed to cut open exterior stucco wall) and build custom deck work and stairs. You will get far more than you paid for with Paul!
Homestead did many things including a whole bathroom that was torn apart and put back together with new flooring, walls and tiling. they put a new ceiling in downstairs and made other minor jobs. I had a couple things that I wanted different and Ken was available to talk to and make changes. His people doing the work were great. I'd use them again. Everything turned out better then expected.
Ryan did a great job taking down my old retaining wall and installing new steps.
Greg has done several projects for me: -The largest project was a total remodeling of the kitchen/dining area; which were 2 separate rooms. This involved taking the areas all the way back to bare walls and bare floor - removing cabinetry, appliances, lighting, soft tile flooring, carpeting and un-repairable hard wood flooring. It also involved the removal of the wall separating the kitchen/dining area and cutting an opening into the adjacent living room/kitchen wall opening up this public area of the home. All cabinetry, countertops, appliances, light fixtures were replaced. Under cabinet lighting was added. Ceramic tile was installed as the new floor in both areas and the ceiling re-textured. Cabinets were also installed on the kitchen side of the living room/kitchen wall (above and below the opening that was created - using upper cabinets both above and below the opening; adding additional storage in the kitchen and creating a stool option at the countertop that was added on the kitchen side. In the dining area, a built-in china/buffet was created (using the same cabinetry as in the kitchen) again using only upper cabinets; installed as upper and lower cabinetry on that outer wall. The upper cabinets have glass doors for display, (under cabinet lighting was added as in the kitchen area) and solid door lower cabinets for storage. A countertop matching the kitchen countertops was added creating buffet style serving option when entertaining. Other projects: -Replacement (from the inside) of insulation and flooring in an added-on 3 season porch. -Creation of an appliance closet in the lower level utility area concealing the boiler, water heater, water softener, and circuit breaker box but allowing for easy access-by including double doors. -Creation and installation of a 10-inch platform beneath a front loading washer/dryer combination for easier access. -Installation of a security re-enforced double door front entry. - Repair of crumbling foundation on an exterior garage wall. I am very pleased with the work Greg has done and I would most definitely recommend him. He is very knowledgeable, very thorough, does quality work, does not cut corners, and completes what he starts.
Transform Design may not be known for their deck building, but they should be. We were in need of someone to complete a deck that the previous carpenter never returned to finish. Casimir and his team took a photo of a deck we liked and created a finish product that looks amazing! They were friendly and easy to work with. From the time of arrival to finishing, everything was done in a professional manner. The team worked diligently, efficiently and cleaned up after themselves each day. We were very impressed and highly recommend Transform Design Solutions to others for any project.
We used English Stone to build a retaining wall to enclose part of our yard. In addition we needed new steps. They were true artists, choosing a style and stone that was perfect to the house. Looks like it was always here. Stone work is generally not cheap but I found them to be fairly priced. Would highly recommend.
I had First Class ( Orlando Eliss ) clean a 48 town home complex gutters and rebuild a retaining wall. Work was outstanding at fair price.
We highly recommend working with this custom builder as he was able to keep costs down because of no overhead for offices, multiple vehicles, and numerous office salaries. DH Construction (Dave Harmon) built our custom retirement home for us several years ago. It is so energy efficient that we have cut our heating/air conditioning bills to 1/3 of what we paid in our previous, larger home. He was able to suggest several cosmetic additions (like tray ceiling and wall cutouts that were inexpensive and added so much to the looks of our home. We wanted wider doors, etc. to be sure it would be wheelchair accessible in our old age, if needed. Best of all, everything in this home is exactly where we want it, and looks exactly as we want it. With Dave's assistance, we even measured and adjusted areas of the bedroom on floor plans to assure we could put a special large chest between 2 wide doorways in our bedroom. One inspector during the build process told us our home was the best-built he had inspected in our suburban area - everything straight and sealed well. Our inspections always passed above minimum standards required. We are so happy in this home. Thank you, Dave.
Genadek Landscaping handled a variety of work for me over 7 years. His company delivered the best value on contracts ranging from small drainage punch-out work to over 1/2 million dollar retaining wall installation. His company, business practices, and equipment are all very sound, but most importantly Stan is of sound character which permeates his entire company. This character shows itself from top to bottom in his staff, design proposals and his realistic scheduling. After 30 years in Construction Project Management, managing projects ranging from small remolding to projects to annual budgets of 22 M $, there are only a handful of contractors I would give a 5 star rating and Genadek is one of them.
