Corrie and Ty were great to work with. They came out twice to our house to look at the space and help select wood and carpet and were able to match our existing carpet perfectly. Their prices were very reasonable and certainly better than dealing with a big box store. We had some electrical issues that interfered with their installation, but Ty came back as many times as needed to get the last touches installed. Very responsive and the finished basement looks great. Thanks guys for all of your help.
Replaced 5 broken posts on wood privacy fence from recent windstorm and fence boards as needed. Arrived on time, worked quickly and neatly, cleaned up when he left. All complete in less than one day and looks good.
Cory installed beautiful new wood floors in two rooms of our home. He was on time, professional and a joy to work with! His work is beautiful and he is a great guy. You are crazy if you do not hire him!
My lesson of cheapest is not the best...I originally contracted with AC/DC hardwood flooring and owner James Leyhe could not have done worse if he tried. He not only botched the job but didn't finish what he started. In steps Joe with Laidrite flooring. He was everything you could ask for in a wood flooring specialist. He was on time, on budget, a pleasure to have in my home, and did a fantastic job. He sanded my floor down to bare wood and gave it a finish that I couldn't be happier with. I only wish I had gone with him from the start!
Greg was hired to put up shiplap in our dining room. It turned out great and Greg is the nicest guy which made the experience even better. We will for sure reach out to Greg for any more wood related home improvements we do!
Blessing Campbell are true professionals. They took a side chair that had had both front legs broken off at the top (from being accidentally shoved against something else) and which they said was "unfixablle." Not only did they make it look better, but also made it more solid than the original. The chair is gorgeous! We were also impressed with the courtesy, professionalism, and efficiency with which the projecct was handled--and at a fair and reasonable price. It is becoming increasingly rare these days to find someone of Walt's extensive knowledge of and wide experience in restoring wood furniture. He and the people at Blessing Campbell do museum-quality work. We will be calling on them again for future projects.
I inherited an antique buffet from my great-grandparents, but it was in sad shape, since it had been stored in a garage for the past 30+ years. I was afraid it was beyond repair, but Brian assured me that it could be done. He worked on it for several weeks, and was in regular contact with me regarding the restoration progress. He would send pictures of how it was looking as it progressed, and conferred with me if he had any questions or if I needed to make a decision on any particular item. He had to completely strip it down to the natural wood, and this included sanding and removing stain/varnish for intricate carvings on the front of the buffet. He then re-stained and refinished it all. He replaced both doors on it since once of the doors was beyond repair. Replacing both, rather than just the one ensured that they both matched when the work was complete. I appreciate that he took that extra care and had the foresight to know that they would look different if only one had been replaced. He replaced the felt lining in the top drawers, and realigned and repaired all drawers so they are now solid and open/close smoothly. The inside of the cabinet had a dark stain on it (he guessed from maybe spilled lamp oil or something of the sort). He cleaned that up from the wood so you wouldn't even know it was there. I couldn't be more pleased with the finished product. I love it!! Mayo Furniture Works is on the top of my list for any sort of restoration work. The quality of the work is top notch and working with Brian was a true pleasure.
We had a mess going trying to do our remodeling ourselves and it was overwhelming to say the least! We called Don and he came out and gave us fair, honest estimates for our wood flooring install, taping and painting the sheetrock we put up, removal of old wallpaper and paintin, ceramic tile installation and refurbishing our deck. Every job completed, professionally and beautifully, my husband and I are very happy with Dons work and we've recommended him to our friends and neighbors.
I had my interior trim and doors installed and painted. I had started the process a couple years ago, but was having difficulty finishing the project with 3 young boys and all there activities. I hired Adventure 25 to come out and give a bid and they could start the project in about a week. The first part of the process was to finish the trim work and rip all the basement trim out and a couple of doors that had not been replaced yet. The trim work was done in a couple of days. The painting was delayed because of rainy weather. This is where the stress begins. The prep work that comes before painting can be a lot of work and time consuming. There was little to no prep of the trim. Lots of missed nail holes, lots of missed caulking and the stuff that was done was very poor. I was told that this is high quality paint and it will cover in one coat. I know better. It can take several coats to make the white trim look good. There was paint all over the wood floors, tile in kitchen, paint on the cabinets, paint on my trees outside, paint on the concrete driveway, paint on my fire pit. There seemed to be no care in the world. Jaimie kept telling me that we are not painters. I understand that but my 5 year could of done better. It was supposed to be rolled and instead there was pain brush marks all the trim. The one painter said he thought it would look cute to but swirls with his brush on the top of all the door trims. I met with Jaimie 4 different times to which he said how do I make this right? I would go through things with him and come home at the end of the day to find more of a mess and continued poor quality work. I have never seen anything like this. He would say it would be fixed but I don't think he would watch over his workers and forget to tell them things. I am stressed out beyond believe as my hope was to have this finished to spend more time with my kids. Instead I have to redo most of it. I had another contractor come out and told me it would be about 10 thousand to fix. He never had seen such poor quality work. I would not recommend him to my worst enemy. Very nice person but I think he was over his head and always in a rush, hence the poor quality work. Since I cant pay 10 thousand to someone to fix it, I am now looking at a year or so to fix my trim. Very frustrated and angry customer.
Dusty came out to isntall wood wall paneling, trim, casing and a pre-hung door. Great experience from start to finish. He was on-time, provide excellent guidance and stayed in constant communication from his first Thumbtack response to the end. I'd definitely use again!
Dustin Bolin is a amazing. Dustin refinishing my woodfloors plus replacing damage hard wood and a small section of subfloor in the ½ barhroom. Dustin is a professional woods craftsmen and has prior experience in woodworking. I made the right decision going with Dustin. I got very lucky Dustin responded to my Thumtrack request. Schaun arrived within the time window given and quickly walked through the project before starting. Once starting, I saw the quality workmanship and speed in which a "true professional" can work when given the chance. I believe in quality, service, and then price. Today, I received all three! I would recommend Schaun to anyone and will use him next time we replace our carpets! Well done.
We got our old wood fence replaced. They took out the old footings, corrected the design flaws from the old layout, & worked with our schedule. Great customer service and kid friendly too.
Great experience. Julio installed a new wood railing in my home and it looks beautiful. The total time between initial estimate and project completion was 11 days--which we especially appreciated because we have a baby due really soon. Julio has an eye for design and kept making improvements/suggestions throughout the installation process. I felt that he did not cut any corners and truly wanted to produce a quality product, even though I know the project took him longer than he initially expected. Julio is also very friendly and personable. Also, he's great with dogs--we had no problem letting our dog roam around while they were at the house.
We hired Kel Heyl from Studio Rebus Incorporated to replace the wood trim in the upstairs of our home. This included replacing the railing and spindles going up the stairs, closet doors, bedroom doors and base trim along the floor. The process from quote to the finish project was done with a very high grade of professionalism. We have no doubt that Kel would bring to your project the craftsmanship and attention to detail that we experienced. Scott & Jill Hamlett
He comes on time and did an excellent job. First day he left all the wood dust everywhere and after I told him, he cleaned it on the next day. He completed the job well.
Doug is an awesome handyman. He installed wood stair treads and risers, installed beadboard, casing and trim, installed corbels under granite counters, installed grab bars in tub, etc. His work is above average and I will hire him again and again and again!
Preston did an amazing job! It was done efficiently and effectively! We were particularly impressed with the great floor work he did blending in our old wood floors where the wall was taking down. Would highly recommend!
My first experience with Showcase Services included rapid responce to my inquiry in less than 5 minutes, showed up to do the repair in 3 hours, did an absolutely wonderful job on repairing a small leak on my roof in less than an hour for a fair price and I am totally satisfied! Five Stars * * * * * I have scheduled another larger project with him already.
We had Asher come replace our ugly carpet upstairs with wood flooring. It was our least favorite part of the house. It's our favorite space in the house now. I have to really stress that Asher Flooring did an absolutely stunning job! I typically try to do everything myself because: 1. I'm frugal (aka cheap). 2. I always assume that my projects are more important to me than they are to anyone else. You know, "if you want something done right..." Jeff cared more about this flooring project than I did, is a true artist and price was beyond fair. Jeff explained everything to me as it was happening, obliged me when I was being nosey, and was even great with my two dogs (if you're a dog person, you get it). We're gonna have him back again to refinish the existing hardwood in the rest of the house. It's great to find someone truly talented who you can trust. I kinda wish Jeff also fixed cars, appliances, did plumbing, and my taxes. ;)
They did a great job with a difficult floor. I had lots of pet stains and repair work. One bedroom was so bad they replaced the whole thing with new wood. In the end the floor turned out awesome and was exactly what I was hoping for. Thanks, I will definitely recommend and use them again.
