To give some background, I was a recovering bulimic who obsessed with food and absolutely hated looking at the mirror. Ive tried personal trainers a couple years of ago (usually the ones that give free sessions with your gym membership), but they didnt help with building a positive self-image. Finally, I was fed up with my body and my strength (or lack thereof), so I googled for affordable personal trainers outside of gyms with good reviews. One of the reasons I picked Brandon right away is because of his affordable rate. Forty dollars per session is a steal, especially when he drives to your location and pays for his own parking at your own appointed time. That kind of service is very helpful for a struggling college student. Not to mention, he quickly identified a good meal plan, and he used the free assessment to really personalize the workouts he gives. It also helps to have a trainer who cares about your progress and doesnt beat you up if you have a bad week. Sometimes life happens, but at least hes there to advise you on what you should change if something isnt working. I think he caught on that I love positive reinforcement, because his encouragement and advice really pushed me to change my lifestyle. The weight loss wasnt even the best part about his training. I used to hate sports, athletics, or any kind of physical activity, but now I love running. Working out has officially replaced my netflix binges. I am super thankful and happy that Ive had this experience.
When I decided to do something about my weight and fitness I spoke with a few trainers and Lisa was the only one that really got me and where I was at in life. She has been amazing to work with and has helped me to look at my nutrition and my body differently, which has really made a difference in my life. What Lisa is: encouraging, creative, reliable, fun, knowledgeable, challenging and caring. She is never judgmental or harsh. She knows when to push and when to ease up - and in a year I don't think we've done the same workout twice! I am so very blessed to have connected with Lisa as a personal trainer and a truly amazing woman.
John helped me to gain 10lbs of lean muscle. I was feeling at my weakest because I had not been working out for years, but thanks to John I felt like I had some energy and confidence back in my life. He holds you accountable and truly cares about your goals. He wants to see you succeed. Additionally, I like that he talks to you on an individual level, and you're not just some other client. He really tries to get to know you, and I appreciated that. Sometimes making the decision to workout can be a tough one. You might be afraid of others laughing at you or thinking it's futile that you're even trying. However John is supportive and understanding all the way. Most people try to lose weight, but I was trying to gain weight since I am technically underweight for a 6' 1" guy. Started off at around 170lbs 15-16% body fat, and ended up at around 183lbs 14-15% body fat. Had to return back to school, but plan on hopefully training more soon.
Jessica is an amazing trainer. When I began training with Jess almost 3 years ago I was a year out from having twins. I learned early on from Jess that that inches come off faster than the pounds. After 4 months I was down 10lbs and that didn't seem like a lot but I lost 27inches and went from a size 12 to a size 6. With monthly measurements you can see and feel that you are achieving a goal and that building muscle does not mean bulking up if done right! As time progressed and I built more muscle, literally one day the pounds just flew off (20+ lbs lost). I stated when we met that I would never be able to do a sit up. I have since blown that out of the water and run numerous 5k's, 10k's, and 3 half marathons! The last being Big Sur, my dream! I also had a very high and erratic heart rate. After 3 years my heart rate has improved and is 30-40 beats lower while running. I now understand the need for a personal trainer. She pushes me beyond what I would make myself do. However, Jess will also listen as I have chronic IT Band issues. She understands when I say that I need to back down on something (as I never back down). Jess is an amazing trainer who will teach you new things about yourself and introduce you to new workouts you may not think of (TRX, Yoga, Boxing, how to use paper plates in a workout if you don't have equipment). She is truly amazing and most importantly we work as a team to achieve goals together! It speaks volumes that now my mother has come to understand why I use a trainer. My mother has now taken up strength training and yoga with Jess at the age of 62!
I have been working with Bennett for about 2 months now and am very happy I contacted him. I am pretty new to fitness and have never been a regular gym goer. I always had some excuse in the past, but I became tired of not having the energy to keep up with my kids. Bennett has helped me with my mindset, confidence and persistence in working toward my fitness goals. I was a bit nervous to contact a personal trainer since I’ve never really gone to the gym with any regularity and didn’t know what to expect (plus Jillian Michaels and trainers like her scare me), but Bennett has been the very opposite of those stereotypical personal trainers. For one, he is an excellent listener and wants to know your goals and your body’s trouble areas. He is careful not to push too hard and is very keen on safety. Most importantly, he does things the right way, with the whole picture of fitness and diet and proper form and safety. He will meet you at whatever stage you are at and work with you to increase your health and fitness. One of his favorite expressions is “For now,” as in “Bennett, I am having a hard time doing this exercise.” “For now,” he’ll say, pointing me toward a fitter future. I see a lot of the reviews are from people who have been working with Bennett for 4+ years, so as a newbie I am speaking to people just now considering (or who have hesitated to consider for whatever reason) working with a personal trainer. Bennett is an excellent person to get you on your way.
I requested to have a meal plan and better my understanding of nutrition and being more attentive to what I put in my body. I was taught exactly that and I executed the instructions to meet my goal. I achieved my goal in no time and had no problems whatsoever. They were flexible, understanding, and accountable to all extents.
Jonathan was and is very knowledgeable of the human body. He's also good at understanding the emotional challenges of getting into shape. He's not judgemental and works with you no matter where your fitness level and goals are. I know that his clientele is diverse...from national physic and body building champions to middle of the road people, all the way to seriously overweight people. To him, we are all just the same. He's personable and relatable.
He is an Excellent trainer . I lost a lot of Body fat and gained muscles after training with him . If you want to transform your body then he is the best trainer .
I like to describe Doug as "the Cadillac of personal trainers." So if you're looking for the best, you've found him. One of the reasons I esteem Doug so highly is because he strives to make things simple. "It's not easy," he says, "but it's simple." I appreciate this approach because it helps me focus and not waste my time constantly looking for the next new thing.

I have been training at Train Your Way Fitness for 2 1/2 months now between 2-3 times a week. I can visibly see changes in my body and my endurance. I have been training with Michelle Carlson and she has pushed my body to its limits which is something I was never able to do on my own. Michelle has always been on time with her session times and makes sure I get my full value out of my time with her. She even has created my own personal book so I can keep track of my progress and my health statistics. If you are looking for someone who is friendly and kind, but can push you when you're not giving 100%, I'd recommend Michelle!
"Outstanding" is a perfect word to summarize Aaron's skill at personally training individuals. He has been my trainer for a while and I don't think I'll ever want anyone else. Aaron knows exactly how to make plans to get you to your goal :-)
I've always been highly skeptical of trainers. I haven't trained with a ton of different people, but I don't think I've ever found one that I felt super confident that they knew what they were talking about. Luckily, I started training with Rachael, and she changed that! Her knowledge of fitness and the human body is so deep and well rounded. She can help you with your fitness from every angle that you could want, be it working around an injury or your diet. She knows how to give you a workout that will push your limits. I'd say training with her is great for so many reasons, but I think the best thing she brings to the table is her attitude. She's always so enthusiastic, encouraging when you give her 100%, and she never made me feel any pressure to do anything more than my best. Rachael is so passionate and loves what she does, and it definitely shows! I know training with her helped me to push me to new heights. Every session was a challenge, but it was fun and rewarding! I have been working with Paul for a year and half. His customized workouts are geared to help me reach my goals. His ability to motivate and push me beyond my own expectations has been incredible. I have lost around 100 pounds and am not only more physically fit but also more knowledgeable about what I eat, the importance of sleep, rest and listening to my body. The journey will continue as I have more to learn. I have worked with many trainers in the past 15 years but no one can compare to what Paul has offered me. He is my biggest cheerleader.

Jordan is fantastic! I've done the semi-private option with him for long enough to know he's better than other trainers I've worked with. He comes ready with updated plans for each session. I've gotten to know quite a few other people by doing it this way - there's good vibes in the groups, it's definitely a plus.

Steve is hands down the best trainer I have ever worked with. He makes me feel so comfortable training with him. He goes above and beyond just training. He constantly checks in on me making sure I'm staying on top on my nutrition, meal prepping, gym etc. He sits with you and educates you on diet, customizes your workout so its specific to you and your body. Also he educates you on what you should be doing at the gym by yourself so you don't always NEED him which is really cool. Most trainers don't do that. He truly cares about your goals and pushes you to acheive them and see results. Both him and his gym are fantastic. I 100% recommend him to anyone looking to better themselves both physically and mentally.
I began working with Michelle shortly after becoming pregnant. My goals were not the same as most clients as I was not trying to lose or maintain weight. In fact, I knew I would be gaining a lot of weight and my body image would change dramatically. During my initial consultation with Michelle, I shared with her my goals to have a natural childbirth and to be both physically and mentally prepared for the emotional and physical distress. Michelle was extremely supportive of my goal and began working on plans to build physical strength & balance while maintaining a healthy pregnancy. I worked with Michelle twice a week throughout my entire pregnancy. In fact, I was in the gym Monday, May 16th and I gave birth to my daughter Wednesday, May 18th. Michelle created fun yet challenging sessions for me which did increase my strength and balance and also my mental strength as she coached and encouraged me to complete each set within the session. Working with Michelle, not only met my expectations, but exceeded them. When I spoke to other pregnant women, they often complained about physical pain and discomfort. I had an exceptional pregnancy with no body aches or pains and I credit that to the wonderful physical health I maintained with direct guidance and supervision from Michelle. I also met my goal of having an all natural pregnancy. My body had the strength and endurance it needed to get through each contraction; and the mental strength to breathe and cope with each contraction. After a twelve hour labor, we were introduced to our beautiful and healthy daughter. Thanks to all the training I did during pregnancy, my body was then ready to meet the needs of our precious baby.
