Maria Grant's success in teaching is her ability to look at the individuality of each student and the keen sense to adjust her teaching style to fit their needs. She's willing to go the extra mile and look for new ways to continually motivate and challenge her students to want to do their best. She's passionate about her love of music and what greater gift could she offer than to pass that on to her students. Maria teaches both the young and the not so young. As a 'not so young' student, she taught me to focus more on the purpose of being a musician and less on the performance. I am so grateful for her as my teacher and mentor.

Maria's passion for music is very apparent every single week that we show up for lessons. I've been so fortunate to watch my daughter go from a little girl taking lessons to a young adult continually working on her passion. The lessons now are a true collaboration between teacher and student where ideas are exchanged and a deeper thought goes into conveying the artistic meaning of the song. Music has become my child's passion, largely due to Maria's guidance and compassion. I'm so grateful we found Maria to pass on this beautiful gift.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Tuition is calculated by number of lesson in the year. Tuition is paid every two months in advance and includes private and group lessons, recital fees and parent orientation sessions.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Certainly. I am an active member of MTNA, MMTA, SAA, SAM and National Guild of Piano Teachers I attend yearly piano conventions and conferences plus various workshops throughout the year.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Recently I helped a student to apply and ultimately receive a Special Grant from the Shubert Club. I had students participating and receiving scholarships for various summer camps, including Interlochen (MI), Cazadero(CA), Stevens Point (WI), Nortwestern Piano Institute (MN) and MacPhail Piano Institute (MN)
