I have taken lessons with David in the classroom and when the covid lockdown hit we moved to online and didn't miss a beat. He's an excellent instructor that I would recommend to anyone. From beginners like me to experienced players, he can teach you how to grow your skills. I would not have kept my interest in learning guitar if not for his style and patience of helping me learn.

David has been teaching my son guitar for 2+ years. What impressed me most was, from the beginning, he was playing real songs that he wanted to learn. This has kept my son motivated and excited about growing as a musician.

A very patient and knowledgeable teacher. He lets me pick music to work on to keep things fun and interesting.

FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Pricing as follows: 30 minute lesson: $25 45 minute lesson: $40 60 minute lesson: $50 No fees involved. I do teach from a curriculum which I may require you to purchase at some point during lessons. I do offer discounts for larger families with multiple students.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? The first thing that I do is to try to understand where a new student is coming from. This includes asking about their background with their instrument and music in general. Secondarily, I'm also interested in their goals and aspirations. What is it that brought them to me? Finally, I will evaluate their skill level and potential difficulties. From here I am able to ascertain a general direction in which to proceed.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?5 + years studying classical guitar with Douglas Niedt (UMKC) 10 + years studying jazz guitar/theory with Jay EuDaly/Danny Embrey/Stan Kessler. Studied classical piano with Tatev Amirlyan and Karen Kushner (UMKC) 16 + years of experience in teaching and performing in the Kansas City area.
