Ariel tutored me twice a week during my Spanish 211 class at UMKC. It was a 5 week summer class and very intense, but I ended up receiving an A! I really don't think I would have been able to do that without Ariel's help. She is perfectly fluent in both Spanish and English and understands the difficulty of learning another language which makes her extremely patient and thorough when studying together. Ariel is also very organized! She requests your class syllabus so she knows exactly what you are doing step by step. I think she knew my syllabus better than I did :) I also had a chance to speak out loud and have conversations in Spanish with her which is something that I didn't get much exposure to in class. I would recommend Ariel to anyone as I think she adjusts to all learning styles very well! Thanks, Ariel :)

Allen is an excellent Spanish tutor. I have known him for greater than 2 years, and in that time, I have made huge strides in learning the Spanish language. I began with barely being able to say no more than, "I am afraid to speak in Spanish", to today, where I effectively use this beautiful language at least on a weekly basis for my job and in interactions with others. He will meet you wherever you are and guide you from there. He never has expressed frustration and he displays genuine joy in teaching Spanish to others. I highly recommend him.

I highly recommend Jeannette to teach you Spanish. I have taken several courses from her. She is a patient teacher, very welcoming. She is a stickler to teach you educated, correct Spanish. You won't be disappointed.

Jamie is an outstanding teacher of younger children, across many subjects. She has a special connection and passion with Spanish, and helps kids learn and also enjoy the experience of becoming a Spanish speaker. It's fun, expanding and sticks with them. Gives them a great foundation for learning more: more Spanish - and lots of other things too!!

About

I fluently speak and write English and French. I excellently write/edit in both languages, translate English to French and vice versa, orally and in writing. Since I work from home, I prefer working with my clients via telephone, email, and Skype. And if we have to meet in person, for let say a first meet and greet, I typically suggest meeting at a public place of your choice, and then go from there. With writing, editing and written translation, I charge per page, and it runs up to $5-$20, depending on how critical and demanding the project is. With oral translation, I charge $35/hour and $45/hour for algebra tutoring.
