FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I mainly estimate how much time a particular project will take me to do, in terms of hours/days, and give a price based on labor. I inform the customer a ballpark of materials needed, and let them know they can choose certain paints, woods, etc., based on price, quality, etc. At the end of the project, I show them receipts of material purchased, and add it to the labor bill. Or, the customer can buy all the materials themselves, and just pay me for the labor.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
All my customers so far have been referals. I like to meet with them at their home to see what they want done first hand. I always explain in detail what I would do to accomplish and finish their project. If they need time to think it over, thats no problem. I try to answer their questions as thoroughly and honestly as I can.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I spent five years building garages for Bullock Garages out of Danville Ill. Then two years building backyard sheds with Heartland Sheds in St Charles, MO. I have also rehabbed two houses for resale, one in Overland, MO, and one in Riverview, MO. I also trained early on with a painting contractor in Clayton/Ladue Mo area.
