Our son took flute lessons from Mary Somogyi from the fifth grade until the week he left for college. Mary not only teaches the mechanics of playing the flute and reading notes, but teaches how to make music. This takes time and practice. Mary's patient and encouraging nature helps her students to feel comfortable when making mistakes and learning. She also incorporates music history and information about composers. Our son loved learning about the composers of the music in which he was playing. We were really impressed by Mary's teaching music as a hole and not just about the instrument. She is definitely a professional who is passionate about teaching music. Give her a try, you won't be disappointed.
It was wonderful experience. I enjoyed her energy and appreciate the passion she has for music and teaching. I'm excited about learning!!
Patrick has been a great teacher so far! I took lessons in the past and he was able to pick up with me where I left off. He is incredibly patient as I continue to learn and helpful when I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. Something that I appreciate is that he is open to going in whatever musical direction I want to go and is able to quickly learn songs himself before teaching me the correct way to play them. He has also been very accommodating with my schedule and open to moving lesson times if needed which has been a big help. Overall, highly recommended!
I started with Jeff around the middle of December 2016. I have had about 6 to 7 weeks’ worth of lessons. I have come a very long way in a short amount of time. I finally feel that I will accomplish my goal of being able to play guitar (after years of trying and never succeeding). Jeff is a fantastic music teacher and is very knowledgeable. He will also break down songs that YOU want to learn and incorporates them in the weekly lessons. Which helps keep you motivated and helps you learn at an even faster pace. Not to mention he comes to your home and teaches. That is a major convenience factor. If you have always wanted to learn the guitar or have tried and never quite reached your goal, look no further than Jeff. He will help you achieve your goal and mold you into a great guitar player. Highly recommended.
Ryan is a great piano teacher. This is my child's first attempt and she's doing really well. Ryan takes the time to explain and show her how things are done . He's awesome!!!!!
I started piano lessons with Melrick around April 2016. He has made the investment very worthwhile. He is knowledgeable in both reading music and learning by ear. I have no regrets and look forward to my continued growth. I would highly suggest him to anyone that is interested in learning to play the piano no matter what age you are.
I first started taking lessons with Aaron when I was 10, and am now 21 with an Associates degree in guitar performance. Studying under Aaron was a real force changer for me, as I now continue building my music education. Really fortunate he was my first teacher. Highly original/creative teaching style for all ages and music interests.
Mr Rocchio is one of the best teachers you will ever find. I feel blessed and lucky to have worked with him. Besides his vast knowledge and expertise he teaches interesting and unique exercises that are not what you normally come across. Most importantly he is a very kind teacher who cares about you and your success. No matter what your style or background you will definitely learn something from him.
Landon has been my daughter's acting coach for about 2 years. She has learned so much under his instruction. He not only teachers her how to embody a character, but why. He truly cares about his students. We consider him a coach, mentor and friend.
I am doing guitar lessons with A major Music. So far I like the program and I like the instructors. A Major Music is convenient and affordable.
My daughter, son and myself, all take piano lessons from Ms. Calahan. My daughter was the first one to start piano lessons about 2.5 years ago when she was 9 years old. Ms. Calahan is a great teacher and made things fun but challenging enough for my daughter to make great great advancements in learning the piano. Now my son (8 yrs.old) has started as well and I also started learning the piano as an adult. Ms. Calahan is awesome at working with all ability levels (beginner to advanced) and all ages. She also offers recitals for her voice and piano students (only if you are comfortable in performing though) which have helped my daughter gain confidence in being in front of an audience. The recitals are nice because they are done in a more relaxed/smaller setting.
I enjoy coming to my lessons, I get so much out of them. Ms. Neva really pushes me to be the best I can be! She is just a wonderful teacher, I have learned so so much from since I started lessons with her! She loves what she does and it shows.
Dave is an excellent guitarist and a very patient teacher. He is able to adjust the level of skill and speed to the needs of the student. A student will gain confident and ability quickly with Dave. I highly recommend him. Laura
Katie taught my two girls piano during the 2011-2012 (5th & 6th grades) & 2012-2013 (6th & 7th grades) school years, and some during the summers. They each did half an hour lessons with her each week. Katie works very well with children, my girls loved her! She was very encouraging each week to one of my daughters, who is extremely hard on herself. She is also flexible & extremely knowledgeable in the area of music. She was able to see that one of my daughters played better by ear and the other one played better by reading the music & switched one of their piano books accordingly, in the middle of the school year. Katie is a great piano teacher and I highly recommend her.
Really great teacher she has alot of experience one of the choices i made this year. It's really worth the time, every second😊
My tutor was very flexible with his schedule. It was very easy for us to set up a time and date for the tutoring sessions. He was prepared for the sections I told him I needed help with and was great at explaining concepts I disn't understand from my own professor!
