Steve installed a new faucet in my kitchen along with a new soap dispenser and new sink strainer and garbage disposal flange. He did an excellent job working hard throughout the job, but if one thing went slightly wrong it was that during the process of securing the job, he asked me to send him a message with my address, scope of job and contact info. By "text", he meant a message to his cell phone. I thought all communication went through the Thumbtack app. Anyway, in the beginning, I had asked for a bid to install a new faucet, soap dispenser water lines and shut off valves. Steve had bid on that job. I was providing everything except the shutoff valves. Later, I went to Lowes to pick up the materials needed. While there, the Lowes associate asked if I wanted matching sink strainer and garbage disposal flange. I said that I did. When Steve later asked for the text mentioned above, I clearly stated that the job included the installation of a garbage disposal flange and sink strainer. Steve indicated had he seen that, his price would have been more. It seemed like the installation of the latter two items were the worst part of the job and made Steve very "frustrated". The more frustrated he became, the more difficult the job was. I went in and try to assist and together we got it done. Having known it was not in the original scope and knowing Steve was out on the job when I made the change, I added some money to what I had agreed to pay know I too, was partially to blame for the mishap.
Mr. Glass installed a new electrical panel and did lots of rewiring in the kitchen (moving outlets to counter level, putting in large appliance outlets, etc.). We really couldn't be happier with the job. It was done quickly, at a very reasonable price, and everything works great now. We were especially impressed by Mr. Glass' professionalism in handling the challenges of our old house. Other electricians had suggested drilling through the stone walls or old wooden beams which might've really damaged the integrity of the building in the long run. I definitely recommend Kaleb Glass and Kase Electrical.
We had two double windows replaced, a plate glass bathroom window replaced with an acrylic glass block window, and had a half moon window removed and replaced with lap siding on the exterior and sheetrock on the interior. The work was done quickly and expertly - could not have asked for a better first time experience with a private contractor! We highly recommend Marcus!
221 Construction is the company I will be using for all future home improvement projects. The owner (Don) is very professional straight forward. The crews that did the work are true professionals and the craftsmanship is second to none.
Dustin does amazing work! He put our basement back together and it is even better than it was before! We experienced a sump pump failure recently in our finished basement and we hired Dustin to repair the dry wall, install carpeting, new floor tile and vanity in the bathroom, paint, trim work, stair carpeting, etc. He also helped fix a ceiling hole we had and matched the textured ceiling almost 100%! Dustin was easy to work with, very responsive and punctual, and he completed the work on time and in budget. We definitely recommend him and will be using him again in the future. Thanks, Dustin!!
Mike has done quite a bit of work for me over the last 10 years. He has hung doors, painted, turned a building into a chicken coop, laid flooring, electrical, tile work, landscaping, drywall, plumbing etc. I've never seen anyone with so many skills. His workmanship is excellent and he has an artistic eye to help make critical decisions. His pricing cannot be beat and he will do what he says he will do.
Gary started by repairing holes in the roof left by resident raccoons. But his personable, straightforward candor and his careful effort to keep the costs down but the quality exceptional was trust-inspiring. He added attic vents to this 1930's house, replaced knob and tube wiring, installed several outside doors, wrapped the house in new siding after replacing structural supports damaged by termites and adding a few architectural differences to change this colonial home to craftsman, then disposed of several outbuildings, excavated an area and added a 24x32 pole barn garage. Gary knows excellence and pride in a true craftsman's work and that's what he hires. His estimates are detailed and he exercises control to make sure a project stays in budget and on time.
Josh was great. He met with me and discussed numerous options regarding the repairs and renovations I was wanting to do to our home. In the end we decided to have Pehl Carpentry handle our painting in the major portions of the home, as small bathroom wall repair, and replace our old kitchen counter with granite countertops. He was very quick to supply a contract and stayed true to the conditions within it. He completely the projects in a timely manner. Best of all the work is beautifully. He was also kind enough to make a few suggestions for repairs we might try before hiring them out -- they worked and we appreciate his advise.
Angel did a little sheetrock work for me in the ceiling to repair a leak. He was very prompt and courteous and the results were perfect! I would definitely use Angel's services again - thanks!
The project was a custom vanity for our master bathroom remodel project and Ed did a terrific job fabricating and installing!! He is also a very honest person, I would hire him again and suggest others consider for their projects. Thanks Ed for your hard work!

We hired Phil to put in our shower pan, move our drain to fit, and install new shower fixtures. The job took longer due to some unexpected problems with our home. Phil was able to be flexible and offer good options and solutions to our problems. He was very professional and did an outstanding job at a very fair rate for services. He honestly went above and beyond to make us happy. We will be using Phil again.
KBD had a very fast turn around time for my granite countertop installation. I was expecting 2-3 weeks but they were able to get it done within a week of first contact. Very satisfied!
Chris has done a couple different projects for me over the years. He just did a kitchen remodel at my house with concrete countertops. My wife and I are very pleased with his work, and his attention to every detail. We will definitely use his services again!
Gerald essentially did an entire house remodel for us. We bought a foreclosure that had potential but needed a lot of work. He replaced an old kitchen with gorgeous new custom cabinets, laid hardwood floors where there was nasty carpet, installed new windows, turned one bathroom into two so we could have a bathroom off the master bedroom, refinished the stairs, replaced damaged sheetrock/paint, put up new trim all the way around, and installed a wood stove where there was an unusable fireplace. He designed a creative plan for opening up our living space while keeping the charm of our 1905 farmhouse. We regularly receive comments about what a beautiful job he did. I have zero complaints about working with him. You won't find a nicer guy to deal with. If you know what you want, he'll find a way to do it. If you don't know what you want, he is full of creative ideas. I highly recommend him.
Mark immediately replied to my thumbtack request and always answered any questions me or my wife had with honesty. The kitchen countertops are set to be installed in a week and we are so happy to be working with Mark and Euroselect Stone LLC.
