I, Yanming Zhang, MA, can teach any subjects at any time, with a textbook and without preparation because I am constantly teaching AP levels of Calculus AB, BC, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Statistics, Economics, Accounting; ACT Math, and Science, English and Reading, Writing/Essay, SAT, Mandarin, including Graduate/College/High School levels of math and science. I am familiar with 120 different subjects, including all the standard tests. I am a top expert in about 60 of those subjects.
I was a Gold Medal winner for the 10th international Biology Olympiad in Uppsala, Sweden 1999 (Wow, that was 23 years ago) as a high school senior representing China ( see profile picture for my images of my gold medal). I ranked #2 out of 1.3 billion people in China that year.
I graduated from the best college in the best university (Peking University, College of Life Sciences) in China in 2003.
When I was in college I got an interview from Harvard Medical School which was the only medical school I applied to in 2002.
I have a master's degree in Chemistry from Washington University in St. Louis ( which had the second-best medical school in the USA at that time, just under Harvard medical school) in 2007. After getting the degree from WashU, I worked at Washington University Medical School for 4 years and became a high school teacher after that. In 2017, I quit my daytime job and committed full time ( or overtime :-) into my tutoring center (STL Tutor or Tutor for USA) which is the best tutoring center now in the St. Louis area according to google business. My reviews on google business last year is the combination of all the reviews for all the other tutoring businesses on google business in 2021. My center is also one of the best in the whole USA.
I started doing online tutoring in 2014 and have been a top instructor in the range of the whole USA as I am the first generation of online tutoring instructors.
I have been a certified teacher for AP Calculus AB and BC (for 8 years), AP Physics (for 8 years), AP Chemistry ( for 6 years), and AP Biology (for 5 years). I can do this because I am a certified AP teacher by the College Board in many areas and have seen, taught, and designed the practice/ real tests numerous times.
I have good planning insights, strategies, shortcuts, memory tricks to conquer any STANDARD Tests.
I have ever increased an ACT composite score by 9 points in 15 hours or increased scores of the ACT English section by 5-7 scores in 2-6 hours or even in 15 mins. I trained about 150 students to pass the MCAT. My students went to Harvard, Stanford, Yale, GWU, Chicago, Michigan, Wisconsin-Madison, UPenn, Brown, MIT, Princeton, Harvard medical school and Harvard business school.
I have trained many students to be medical doctors, engineers, army officers, and lawyers.
I have been an exam maker since 2012.
For example, I was making a set of MCAT related physics quizzes and exams for the Physics class of the Biomedical Program for the University of Texas in 2018. I made the whole set in one month in August in 2017, spending 180 hours in one month on top of my teaching and tutoring and taking care of my two lovely boys together with my wife.
I have helped every one of my students to learn and achieve academic success. Every student has at least one letter grade improvement, passed a standard test, or landed on a job. No one under my supervision ever failed. Helping them to build a sound foundation of math and science and Mandarin is very satisfying.
