Paul is a consummate professional. He's on time, every time. He's well prepared and ready to deliver a high-quality lesson tailored to your wants and needs the second you step in the door. Communicating with Paul is easy. He's available via phone, text, email and Facebook messenger. He's always responsive no matter what channel you contact him on. If he has a conflict with a scheduled lesson (he's a professional gigging and recording musician, so it happens occasionally, but not often), he lets you know well in advance so an alternate lesson time can be scheduled There's an old saying: "Those who can, do. those who can't, teach". In no way, shape or form does this apply to Paul! I've seen him perform in public many times. He is an outstanding musician and plays, or has played, with many of Kansas City's best artists. He can clearly "do" at a very expert level. More importantly, he can teach just as expertly as he rocks on-stage. Paul has in innate ability to effectively communicate with his students, no matter what level they're on, or what their aspirations are. Paul is easy going, easy to talk to, and genuinely wants his students to improve and achieve their goals. He provides positive feedback when it's warranted without coming across as a vapid cheerleader. Likewise, he'll let you know when you're falling short of the mark, but in gentle, constructive manner. Whether you're just a bedroom rockstar wannabe looking to take your skills to the next level, or you have aspirations of going pro, Paul is the man to get you there. When I was searching for a bass teacher in KC, Paul's name came up over and over again. More than one reference said that Paul is not only the best bass *player* in town, he's also the best bass *teacher* in town. He's never failed to live up to those lofty plaudits.

Paul's a professional working musician, so he's not only teaching me how to play bass, he's out there gigging 3-5 nights a week doing it! He's very down to earth, patient, and hilarious so my hour always flies by and the real world examples and incredible depth of music knowledge he possesses are just icing on my extremely novice cake! Can't wait to see where he leads me...

Paul is great at finding what it is your Bass Guitar needs or interests are. He works with you to achieve the goals you want. Both in theory and the songs of interest to you. He works with beginners like I was starting out to advanced musicians. He is a well respected musician in the Kansas City area that relates well to anyone that wants to learn or improve playing Bass Guitar.

Paul Is a great guy and a great teacher. I took lessons from him for about five years. He taught me to play bass starting from scratch all the way through to complex jazz tunes. He's very professional and helpful, would recommend him to both beginners and professional musicians.
