Steve came out and gave me a bid within a day… how to schedule it out because I had to dig up some money... My repairs were emergency in nature... apparently a tree but the couple of holes in my roof during a storm when I was overseas... We had to delay the date a couple times because of weather. When we finally got a good day his crew showed up promptly and got straight to work... I had to have half my roof reshingled. The work crew was fast courteous and professional... They did a wonderful job cleaning up. The work was done beyond my satisfaction. Being a former contractor I'm very picky.. I will be hiring them again come spring to finish the rest of the roof. A top-notch professional company.Oct 15, 2016Verified

Q & A
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I don't think it's complicated but I've been doing it for years. The cost of a roof replacement is figured by these item's the number of layers you remove, the kind of material used in the replacement, the height of the structure and the steepness of the slope. For repairs the same items come into play and we have a minimum charge of $250.00
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?First I ask them to message me their phone number, if they haven't viewed my profile I ask them to do that. I will set an appointment if it's a roof replacement, I will have satellite measurements and two or three different estimates with different materials and prices for them to view. I'll discuss colors and have them narrow it down to a couple then bring actual shingle for them to see. The colors on the Ipad are close and the same with color samples, but there is no replacement for the actual shingle. The reason is that shingle are manufactured in different plants and the colors although they have same name may not be from the plant that supplies our area.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am required to do eight hours annually of Continuing Education to keep my Johnson County Kansas license. I am required to do the same to keep my HAAG certification and every five years I have to take a two day class. I have also taken time to become a certified installer with GAF. They are the worlds largest provider of roofing materials in the world.
