Steve came out and gave me a bid within a day… how to schedule it out because I had to dig up some money... My repairs were emergency in nature... apparently a tree but the couple of holes in my roof during a storm when I was overseas... We had to delay the date a couple times because of weather. When we finally got a good day his crew showed up promptly and got straight to work... I had to have half my roof reshingled. The work crew was fast courteous and professional... They did a wonderful job cleaning up. The work was done beyond my satisfaction. Being a former contractor I'm very picky.. I will be hiring them again come spring to finish the rest of the roof. A top-notch professional company.

About this pro

I think that the services we provide are professional, we do commercial and residential roofing and repairs. We service the KC metro area, I'm 62 and and my son is 40 and we have have lived here all our lives. We have the education and experience that let's us provide the solutions that are proven to work for all types of roofing. Not that our product is better, but I truly believe our people are. My crew has been with me for 5+ years, I have great confidence that the crew I send to your house will be able to provide a superior product. There will always be a bilingual person available on site if you have problems or need to ask a question. We do offer in house financing at 0% for 18 months and take all major credit cards. Working with and meeting people, I've made a lot of good friends over the years. I like to be able to come in and provide solutions that work and see the smiles on faces when they see their new roof. I have around ten people here full time, and I enjoy the people I work with. I know that they depend on me to feed their families. I always pay them on a walk off basis when the roof is complete I pay. Many roofing companies make them wait their money or leave town and don't pay. My wife calls Victor my fourth son and Victor Jr. and Armando my second baseman and shortstop. I have 8 grandsons of my own so they finish out my team.

    Q & A

    • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I don't think it's complicated but I've been doing it for years. The cost of a roof replacement is figured by these item's the number of layers you remove, the kind of material used in the replacement, the height of the structure and the steepness of the slope. For repairs the same items come into play and we have a minimum charge of $250.00
    • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First I ask them to message me their phone number, if they haven't viewed my profile I ask them to do that. I will set an appointment if it's a roof replacement, I will have satellite measurements and two or three different estimates with different materials and prices for them to view. I'll discuss colors and have them narrow it down to a couple then bring actual shingle for them to see. The colors on the Ipad are close and the same with color samples, but there is no replacement for the actual shingle. The reason is that shingle are manufactured in different plants and the colors although they have same name may not be from the plant that supplies our area.
    • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am required to do eight hours annually of Continuing Education to keep my Johnson County Kansas license. I am required to do the same to keep my HAAG certification and every five years I have to take a two day class. I have also taken time to become a certified installer with GAF. They are the worlds largest provider of roofing materials in the world.
